Day 1Arrive Darwin (D)
On arrival at Darwin airport, be met and transferred* to your hotel. Enjoy time at leisure before meeting your Evergreen Tours’ Tour Director and travelling companions for a welcome drink and dinner.
Two Night Stay: Darwin
Day 2Litchfield National Park (B)
Visit the tranquil wilderness area of Litchfield National Park with its picturesque waterfalls, plunge pools and unusual magnetic termite mounds. See beautiful Wangi and Florence Falls, large spring–fed natural pools surrounded by lush rainforest. This evening is at leisure to explore Darwin’s wide variety of restaurants.
Day 3Kakadu National Park - Yellow Waters Cruise (B,D)
Travel to Kakadu National Park and visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Stop at Nourlangie Rock, where you will see ancient Aboriginal rock art. Cruise the famous Yellow Waters billabong and see Kakadu’s unique water birds and crocodiles.

Day 4Nitmilluk National Park – Katherine Gorge Cruise (B,D)
Travel to Katherine and enjoy a guided cruise through spectacular Katherine Gorge with its immense red ochre sandstone walls. Continue travelling through Nitmiluk National Park and marvel at the towering red ochre sandstone walls as your local guide points out ancient Aboriginal rock art and unique wildlife.

Day 5Lake Argyle - Ord River Cruise - Kununurra (B,D)
Cross the border into Western Australia and journey into the Carr Boyd Ranges before arriving at magnificent Lake Argyle, the largest lake in the southern hemisphere. Enjoy an exciting cruise on the Ord River to Kununurra where you will pass beneath immense gorge walls and view peaceful river scenery. Watch out for the region’s abundant wildlife and enjoy the sunset as you arrive in Kununurra.

Day 6Wyndham - Bungle Bungles Day Tour Opportunity (B)
This morning we journey out to Wyndham, Western Australia's most northerly town and take a photo with 20 metre long, three metre high saltwater crocodile, see the views from Five Rivers Lookout, and visit Warriu Park to see the Dreamtime Statues and rock art murals. We then visit Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve the best bird watching site in Western Australia. On the way back to town we visit The Hoochery distillery, Western Australia's only legal distillery producing Ord River Rum and other spirits. You will be taken on a 30 minute tour of a working still and the production area with time to stay on for a piece of famous Ord River Rum Cake and a Coffee or Tea.

Day 7El Questro Wilderness Park - Chamberlain Gorge Cruise (B,D)
Travel to the acclaimed El Questro Wilderness Park, a million acre park set in stunning outback Kimberley landscape. Enjoy a spectacular cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, a fresh waterhole bound by diverse flora and fauna and set beneath towering 60m tall sheer walled cliffs.
Day 8Argyle Diamond Mine Guided Tour - Halls Creek (B,L,D)
There is an opportunity this morning to take a scenic flight over the Bungle Bungle Ranges (own expense). Travel to the world's largest single producer of diamonds, the Argyle Diamond Mine, for a private guided tour of the open cut mine. Continue on to Halls Creek, the oasis of the Kimberley and once the hub of a gold rush in the late 1800’s.

Day 9Geikie Gorge Cruise - Broome (B)
Continue to the Fitzroy River where you will cruise the exquisite Geikie Gorge with its unusual white banded walls. Keep your eye out for local wildlife including sawfish, stingrays and freshwater crocodiles. Travel to Broome, one of the last great unexplored wilderness areas on earth. Originally founded as a pearling port over a hundred years ago, Broome now boasts a multicultural population of many nationalities lured here by the promise of finding their fortunes. The pearling industry remains a vibrant part of Broome, proudly producing the world's finest pearls.

Today is at your leisure to explore the tropical town of Broome or as an option we suggest you experience on of the many amazing extra sightseeing activities. At the end of the day join your fellow travellers and sit back, relax and enjoy a sunset drink whilst watching the spectacular sunset over Cable Beach, followed by a sumptuous dinner.

Day 13Broome - Board your Cruise Boat (B,D)
Spend the morning at leisure and board the luxurious Oceanic Discoverer this afternoon. This evening meet your fellow travellers and friendly crew at the Captain's Welcome Cocktail Party. Enjoy cocktails as we depart Broome and cruise north towards Cape Leveque.
Day 14Lacepede Islands (B,L,D)
Today we cruise through Pender Bay and visit the Lacepede Islands. These islands are situated well off shore and are known for the turtle nestings and booby and frigate bird colonies.
Day 15Crocodile Creek - Horizontal Falls (B,L,D)
This morning we travel ashore aboard Xplorer, a specially designed excursion vessel. We visit Crocodile Creek where there is time to explore and enjoy a cooling dip in the fresh water pools. At Talbot Bay, the region’s 12 metre tides create an amazing spectacle, the unique Horizontal Falls. Board the inflatable zodiacs for an exhilarating, up-close view of this natural phenomenon.
Day 16Montgomery Reef - Aboriginal Art (B,L,D)
We cruise through the Buccaneer Archipelago, home to over 800 islands, before arriving at Montgomery Reef. See the reef ‘rise’ out of the ocean as the tide ebbs, before joining a reef walk and marine life study. Later, we travel ashore at Raft Point and visit a secluded and very interesting aboriginal rock art gallery. With the onboard lecturer, view Wandjina art and the mysterious Bradshaw Paintings (Gwion), thought to be the world’s oldest indigenous art, dating back over 20 000 years. Enjoy time to discover one of the bay’s many uninhabited islands and enjoy a cooling dip in the freshwater pools.
Day 17King Cascades - Camp Creek (B,L,D)
We cruise the mighty Prince Regent River aboard Xplorer to breathtaking King Cascades, an unusual and picturesque waterfall cascading over terraced rock formations. Enjoy a picnic lunch at beautiful Camp Creek.
Day 18Careening Bay (B,L,D)
Careening Bay was named by Phillip Parker King after his ship, ‘HMC Mermaid’, was careened during his first voyage of discovery in the Kimberley. The onboard lecturer leads you to the site of a large boab tree baring the inscription ‘HMC Mermaid – 1820’, still clearly visible almost 200 years later. This afternoon we cruise through Kuri Bay, home of the south sea pearl industry.
Day 19Prince Frederick Harbour (B,L,D)
Cruising into Prince Frederick Harbour we anchor at Naturalist Island (helicopters are available for optional scenic flights over the Mitchell Plateau for close up views of the mighty four-tiered Mitchell Falls). This evening, enjoy a spectacular Indian Ocean sunset as we indulge in a gourmet Aussie Beach BBQ.
Day 20Bigge Island and Low Rocks (B,L,D)
Discover rarely seen Aboriginal art on Bigge Island. The onboard lecturer will be on hand to interpret this amazing rock art gallery which dates back thousands of years. Later, we visit the sea bird rookeries on Low Rocks.
Day 21Vansittart Bay (B,L,D)
Enjoy a full day to explore beautiful Vansittart Bay and its many islands and secluded coves.
Day 22King George Falls and Tranquil Bay (B,L,D)
Today we explore the mighty King George River. Aboard Xplorer, we’ll discover scenic gorges, and in the inflatable zodiacs we’ll cruise close to the base of magnificent King George Falls, the tallest waterfalls in Western Australia towering some 80 metres above the river below. Later, we visit Tranquil Bay for beach walking and exploration. This evening we farewell new-found friends as we enjoy the Captain’s Farewell Cocktail Party.
Day 23Depart Darwin (B)

Our unforgettable cruise along the Kimberley coast concludes in Darwin this morning.  You will be transferred* to the airport for your homeward flight.
