Day 1Arrive Victoria (D)
Welcome to Canada. On arrival at Victoria International Airport you will be met and transferred* to your downtown hotel. Tonight meet your Evergreen Tours’ Tour Director and travelling companions for a ‘Welcome to Canada’ reception and dinner.

Day 2Victoria Sightseeing – Butchart Gardens (FB)
Today visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22-hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. A guide will welcome you and explain the garden’s history and flora. There is ample time to explore these gardens which have delighted visitors from around the world for over one hundred years. Afterwards enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas. There is free time to explore Victoria or perhaps as an option we suggest a Whale Watch Tour or Hop-on Hop-off Explorer Bus (additional expense).
Day 3Howe Sound – Sea to Sky Hwy – Whistler (FB)

After breakfast drive north and visit the beautiful artisan mural town of Chemainus, the world’s largest outdoor art gallery. Board the Ferry and travel to the mainland, drive the sea to sky highway and arrive at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village.

VICTORIA TO WHISTLER - Optional one hour floatplane flight to Green Lake, Whistler. Leave the crowds behind and soar over the many scattered islands through the Georgia Strait to the pristine alpine mountains in Whistler. Arrive at lunch time giving you more time to explore (additional expense).

Day 4Lillooet – Hat Creek Ranch – Sun Peaks (FB,L,HD)
Today we travel through the historic farming village of Pemberton, along the very scenic Duffy Lake Road and into the town of Lillooet. At Hat Creek Ranch we visit the historic buildings and learn about this early trade route. After lunch we head into the mountains to the ski resort village of Sun Peaks. This evening our highlight dinner experience involves an authentic Western Barn Dance including music and dancing.

Day 5Sun Peaks – Mt Robson - Jasper (FB,HD)
Travel through British Columbia’s caribou country, enjoying glimpses of the soaring granite mountains of the Canadian Rockies. Stand at the base of the awesome 3954 metre Mt. Robson before arriving into Jasper National Park, an alpine wonderland of jewelled lakes, spectacular mountains and soaring waterfalls. This afternoon is at leisure for you to explore this beautiful mountain town. This evening we journey to the foothills of Pyramid Mountain and experience an authentic Canadian Rockies Western style dinner.

Day 6Icefields Parkway - Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Lake Louise (FB,D)
This morning enjoy a guided walk at the stunning Maligne Canyon, one of Canada’s most spectacular gorges. Stroll along the canyon’s trail, past beautiful waterfalls, spectacular rock formations and learn about Canada’s’ longest underground river systems. Depart Jasper and travel south along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world, and enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery. See spectacular scenes such as the Crowfoot Glacier, hanging from a cliff face 900 feet above the Columbia Icefield. We then make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, North America’s largest sub-polar ice pack, where you’ll climb aboard the ‘Ice Explorer’ for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the mighty 300-metre thick Athabasca Glacier. Day’s end finds us at Canada’s “Diamond in the Wilderness”, the beautiful Lake Louise.

Day 7Lake Louise - Emerald Lake - Banff (FB,HD)
Visit the spectacular Natural Bridge, which has been carved by the Kicking Horse River, and into Yoho National Park to see the glacier fed Emerald Lake. Visit an icon of the Canadian Rockies, Moraine Lake (seasonal), crowned by ten notable peaks. Later this afternoon we arrive into Banff National Park. On arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour including Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. This evening exclusive to Evergreen Tours we witness an inspiring sunset from the top of the Rockies at the summit of the Banff Gondola, including a full Alberta prime rib dinner and the most unique evening views in Banff National Park.

Today is reserved for you to enjoy Banff and its many sights and attractions. As an option we recommend a float trip down the Bow River or a helicopter flight over the Rockies. Tonight you have the opportunity to partake in a fun and entertaining dinner theatre show (additional expense).
Day 9Banff – Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops (FB,L)
Today we set off on a two day rail experience on “The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World”. Settle back in your RedLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf $900pp). Enjoy spectacular views of the soaring granite mountains of Canada’s Rockies including its highest peak, Mount Robson, as you journey towards Kamloops. Tonight, perhaps enjoy dinner and a show “The Rhythms on the Rails”($95pp, must be pre-booked prior to departure).

Day 10‘The Rocky Mountaineer’ – Vancouver (FB,L,D)
We continue our journey west, follow the Thompson River and pass through the magnificent Fraser Valley and arrive into Vancouver. This evening enjoy dinner with your Tour Director and new-found friends.

Day 11Vancouver – Toronto (FB)
This morning transfer to Vancouver International Airport to board your flight to Toronto (flight not included in land only bookings). On arrival at Toronto International Airport you will be met and transferred to your downtown hotel (please book your flight to arrive before 5pm).

Day 12Toronto Sightseeing - Niagara Falls (HB,D)
Travel up University Avenue to take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament Buildings, Queens Park and Museum Row. Visit Canada's majestic castle, Casa Loma and step back in time to a period of European elegance and splendour. Enjoy a guided tour of the castle and free time to explore the magnificent gardens. Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before enjoying your first, unforgettable glimpse of the falls. Board the “Maid of the Mist” boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception and dinner at your hotel, with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions.

Travel into Pennsylvania through the rolling Appalachian Mountains before arriving into Lancaster, home to the religious Amish and Mennonite communities. This evening savour an authentic, homemade Amish Feast prepared in the traditional ways.

Day 14Lancaster – Washington D.C. (FB,D)
This morning we experience the way of the Amish on an included tour. We are joined by a local guide for a tour around the Amish Countryside and learn about the culture, faith and traditional way of life. Our journey then takes us the Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore.

Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, and the site of the John F. Kennedy Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute.
Day 16Philadelphia – New York City (FB)
Travel north this morning and arrive in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’, Philadelphia, the birthplace of a nation, and home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After lunch we continue our journey to the exciting and vibrant New York City. On arrival check into your hotel and the remainder of the evening is at leisure.

Discover New York City at your own pace with an included Hop-on Hop-Off Double Decker Bus Tour. Over 50 stops throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, from The United Nations to Times Square, from Harlem to Battery Park, including Ferry to the Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island or admission to The Empire State Building Observatory.
Day 18New York City - Boston (FB,D)
Travel along the Long Island Sound to the enchanting landscapes and rustic charm of the New England Coast. We stop for lunch and visit the historic Mystic Seaport. Experience maritime history firsthand as you stroll through the recreated 19th century coastal village. Then travel to Boston, one of America’s oldest and most historic cities. This afternoon we are joined by a local guide for a walk along the Freedom Trail. See Boston Common, Faneuil Hall and the Old State House.

Today is at leisure for you to explore Boston or as an option we suggest a tour with the famous Duck Tours of Boston or a day tour to Salem to explore the mysteries of the Witch Trails (additional expense).
Day 20Boston – Quebec City (FB,D)
Journey north through New Hampshire, passing the state’s capital dome at Concord and continuing to the majestic beauty of Franconia Notch State Park in the scenic White Mountains. Bienvenue! Welcome to the French-Canadian province of Quebec. The next two nights are in romantic Quebec City on the banks of the mighty St. Lawrence River.

This morning we see The Plains of Abraham and the Citadel before beginning our journey north through the rural and historic townships of the Quebec province to St Anne Du Beaupre Basilica – the ‘Lourdes’ of New France. The basilica is a shrine to St. Anne and miracles have been reported at the site over the centuries since its construction. Many pilgrims visit the shrine each year hoping to receive a miracle. Next visit the impressive, thundering Montmorency Falls, which at 272 feet are higher than Niagara Falls. Return to Quebec City where the rest of the day is free time for independent exploration.
Day 22Quebec City – Montreal (FB,D)
Leaving old-world Quebec, travel along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River, heading for the quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island of the St. Lawrence River. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale. Montreal abounds with sightseeing options, such as a stroll, bicycle or take a horse-drawn carriage through the narrow cobblestone streets of Montreal's famous Parisian-style historic district, filled with cultural landmarks, museums, boutiques, sidewalk cafes and restaurants. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Today is at leisure for you to explore this cosmopolitan city. Perhaps stroll through the underground shopping area of Place Ville-Marie or visit the historic Old Montreal.
Day 24Montreal – Ottawa (FB)
Drive west into Ottawa, Canada’s beautiful Capital. On arrival we visit the Museum of Civilization, Canada’s largest and most popular cultural institution. Our local guide then joins us for a tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. See the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the National Gallery. We view the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Rideau Canal and much more. Our touring finishes at the Byward Market where you have free time to explore.

Day 25Ottawa – Toronto (FB,D)
This morning we travel through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes to the colonial city of Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. During your orientation tour, view the numerous old buildings, churches, picturesque neighbourhoods and fortifications.Travel south along the shores of Lake Ontario back to the cosmopolitan provincial city of Toronto. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner in your hotel with your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Day 26CN Tower – Depart Toronto (HB)
Start the day with a spectacular breakfast at the top of the world's tallest building, the CN Tower. After breakfast you’ll have time at leisure before transferring* to Toronto International Airport to board your homeward flight.
