Day 1Arrive Vancouver
Welcome to Canada. You will be met at Vancouver International Airport and transferred* to your centrally located hotel. Today is at leisure for you to explore Vancouver. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome reception at your hotel.
Two Night Stay: Renaissance Harbourside (Harbour View Rooms)
Day 2Vancouver Sightseeing (HB,HD)
Start the morning with a special breakfast at the Vancouver Aquarium, where there is an opportunity to view Beluga whales. Later enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including Stanley Park, famous for its totem poles, the waterfront, Gastown and Granville Island.

Drive across the Lions Gate Bridge and visit Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park, then take a gondola ride to the top of Grouse Mountain and enjoy a spectacular dinner whilst enjoying the views of the Vancouver skyline.
Day 3Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops (FB,L)
Today we set off on a two day rail experience on “The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World”. Settle back in your RedLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf $900pp). Enter the fertile Fraser Valley then follow the Thompson River towards Kamloops. Tonight, perhaps enjoy dinner and a show “The Rhythms on the Rails”($95pp, must be pre-booked prior to departure).

Day 4Rocky Mountaineer – Banff (FB,L)
Transfer back to Kamloops station and continue your journey eastward into the spectacular Rocky Mountains. Marvel at the glaciers and snow-capped mountains of Rogers Pass and Kicking Horse Pass. Late afternoon arrive into Banff and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5Banff at Leisure (FB,HD)
Today is reserved for you to enjoy Banff and its many sights and attractions. As an option we recommend a float trip down the Bow River or a helicopter flight over the Rockies (additional expense).  This evening we enjoy dinner at the Evergreen Restaurant where we indulge in local cuisine.
Day 6Moraine Lake - Lake Louise (FB,D)
See the glacier fed Emerald Lake and visit the spectacular Natural Bridge, which has been carved by the Kicking Horse River. Visit an icon of the Canadian Rockies, Moraine Lake (seasonal), crowned by ten notable peaks before we arrive at Canada’s “Diamond in the Wilderness”, the beautiful Lake Louise. There is plenty of free time for you to explore this beautiful Lake or to sit back, relax and take in the amazing scenery.

Today enjoy a nature walk along the shoreline of the beautiful Lake Louise before a relaxing day at leisure. There is also an opportunity today to experience a glacier helicopter flight over the Columbia Icefields (additional expense).
Day 8Icefields Parkway - Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Jasper (FB,D)
This morning we travel north along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world, and enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery. We make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, North America’s largest sub-polar ice pack, where you’ll climb aboard the ‘Ice Explorer’ for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the mighty 300-metre thick Athabasca Glacier. See spectacular scenes such as the Crowfoot Glacier, hanging from a cliff face 900 feet above the Columbia Icefield. Day’s end finds us in Jasper National Park, an alpine wonderland of jewelled lakes, spectacular mountains and soaring waterfalls.

Day 9Jasper Sightseeing (FB)
Start the day with a guided walk along the stunning Maligne Canyon, one of Canada’s most spectacular gorges. Stroll along the canyon’s trail, past beautiful waterfalls, spectacular rock formations and learn about Canada’s longest underground river systems. This afternoon is at leisure or as an option we suggest a tour via Harley Davidson™ or a river rafting experience along the Athabasca River (additional expense).
Day 10Cariboo Mountains – Kelowna (FB,L,D)
This morning we depart Jasper and head through the mountain pass. Soon stand at the base of the awesome, 3,954-metre Mt Robson. Continue past the early trading settlement of Tete Jaune Cache and into the Cariboo Mountains region and into the Okanagan Valley to Kelowna. The lush Okanagan region is Canada’s wine capital with some 60 wineries producing world-class vintages.

Day 11Cache Creek – Whistler (FB,L,D)
This morning we visit a beautiful winery and estate to sample some of the local wines. Next we visit historic Hat Creek Ranch. Then travel along the very scenic Duffy Lake Road to the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village – home to the 2010 Olympics, with time to explore the village’s cobbled pathways and plazas.

Today is at leisure for you to explore the resort village of Whistler and experience one of the many attractions on offer.
Day 13Sea to Sky Hwy – Howe Sound – Victoria
Travel south along the Sea to Sky highway, stopping at the awesome Shannon Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in British Columbia. Board a ferry and cruise through the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island. Visit the beautiful artisan mural town of Chemainus, the world’s largest outdoor art gallery before arriving into Victoria, British Columbia’s beautiful capital city.

WHISTLER TO VICTORIA

Optional 1 Hr Floatplane Flight to Victoria. Leave the crowds behind and soar over the many scattered islands through the Georgia Strait to the historic capital of British Columbia, Victoria. Arrive early afternoon giving you more time to explore! ($250pp – must be pre-booked).
Day 14Victoria Sightseeing – Butchart Gardens (FB)
Today visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22-hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. A guide will welcome you and explain the garden’s history and flora. There is ample time to explore these gardens which have delighted visitors from around the world for over one hundred years. Afterwards enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas. There is free time to explore Victoria or perhaps as an option we suggest a Whale Watch Tour or Hop-on Hop-off Explorer Bus (additional expense).
Day 15Seattle - 7 Night Alaskan Cruise (FB,D)
Transfer on the Victoria Clipper to Seattle, The Emerald City of the Pacific Northwest, known for its stunning waterfront. Board your luxurious cruise ship and check into your comfortable Outside Stateroom (upgrade to Verandah Stateroom additional expense) on the luxurious Holland America Cruise Ship ms Westerdam and settle-in for an unforgettable 7 night voyage through the famed Alaskan waterways.

Today is a day of relaxation as you cruise one of the worlds’ most spectacular waterways. Your ship threads her way past forests of spruce and hemlock, mountains, islands and inlets. Take advantage of the ship’s many outstanding facilities, or simply relax on deck and watch unmatched scenery glide by. Tonight, like every other night on board, enjoy a dinner of mouth watering delights, in your choice of restaurants.
Day 17Juneau (FB,L,D)
Perched on a thin strip of land at the mouth of Gold Creek, Juneau is arguably one of America’s most beautiful state capitals, with the looming summits of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts providing a gorgeous backdrop. Learn the city’s Gold Rush story, drop into the Red Dog Saloon, take a helicopter flight over the Mendenhall Glacier or visit the fascinating Alaska State Museum, the opportunities are endless (shore excursions are at own expense).
Day 18Scenic Cruising - Hubbard Glacier (FB,L,D)
From its source on Mt. Logan in Kluane, Hubbard Glacier stretches 125 kilometres to Disenchantment Bay. It is the longest tidewater glacier in Alaska and the most visited attraction in America’s largest National Park. As you cruise this remnant of the Ice Age, watch for seals basking on ice floes and listen for loud, deep rumbles as lustrous shafts of ice split off the glacier.
Day 19Sitka (FB,L,D)
Resting between snow-capped mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Sitka is easily one of the most beautiful seaside towns in Alaska, and has a unique blend of Russian history and Tlingit culture. It's also the biggest town in Alaska, encircling 4,710 square miles on Baranof Island. Take a stroll through old growth forest in Sitka National Historical Park, tour through the Alaska Raptor "Bald Eagle" Centre, shop the downtown district and poke around the Sheldon Jackson Museum for a close-up look at some of the city's most prized arts, crafts and Russian relics (shore excursions are at own expense).
Day 20Ketchikan (FB,L,D)
Welcome to the salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside, part is built on pilings over the water where bald eagles watch from waterside perches. An outstanding collection of totem poles makes the town an essential stop for anyone interested in native art. To make the most of your time ashore, consider taking an optional guided tour through town, jeep ride or mountain excursion on a Harley Davidson™ motorcycle, a harbor cruise or a float plane “flightseeing” trip (shore excursions are at own expense).
Day 21Scenic Cruising – Vancouver Island (FB,L,D)
Today is a day of relaxation as you cruise south to the stunning Capital of British Columbia, Victoria. Take advantage of the ship’s many outstanding facilities, or simply relax on deck with a drink and watch unmatched scenery glide by.
Day 22Seattle – Toronto (FB)
Disembark early this morning and transfer to Seattle International Airport to board your flight to Toronto(flight not included in land only bookings). On arrival at Toronto International Airport you will be met and transferred to your downtown hotel (please book your flight to arrive before 5pm).

Day 23Toronto Sightseeing - Niagara Falls Excursion (FB,D)
Travel up University Avenue to take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament Buildings, Queens Park and museum row. Visit Canada's majestic castle, Casa Loma and step back in time to a period of European elegance and splendour. Enjoy a guided tour of the castle and free time to explore the magnificent gardens. Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before enjoying your first, unforgettable glimpse of the falls. Board the “Maid of the Mist” boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. There is then some leisure time before returning to Toronto early this evening. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception and dinner at your hotel, with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions.
Day 24CN Tower – Kingston – Ottawa (HB,HD)
Start the day with a spectacular breakfast at the top of the world's tallest building, the CN Tower. Travel east along the shores of Lake Ontario to the colonial city of Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. During your orientation tour, view the numerous old buildings, churches, picturesque neighbourhoods and fortifications. Continue through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes to Canada’s national capital. In the evening, travel to a native camp on Turtle Island to savour a native feast accompanied by vibrant native dancers and musicians.

Day 25Ottawa Sightseeing (FB)
This morning visit the Museum of Civilization, Canada’s largest and most popular cultural institution. Our local guide then joins us for a tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. See the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the National Gallery. We view the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Rideau Canal and much more. Our touring finishes at the Byward Market where you have free time to explore.
Day 26Ottawa – Quebec City (FB,D)
Bienvenue! Welcome to the French-Canadian province of Quebec. Enjoy the scenic drive along the "Chemin du Roy" (King's Road), the oldest roadway in Canada. Visit Deschambault a quaint village along the St Lawrence River. The historic "New France Route," takes you to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1620 as a trading post. Arrive into Quebec City in the afternoon and meet our local guide for a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Quebec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years.

Day 27Quebec City Sightseeing (FB)
This morning we see The Plains of Abraham and the Citadel before beginning our journey north through the rural and historic townships of the Quebec province to St Anne Du Beaupre Basilica – the ‘Lourdes’ of New France. The basilica is a shrine to St. Anne and miracles have been reported at the site over the centuries since its construction. Many pilgrims visit the shrine each year hoping to receive a miracle. Next visit the impressive, thundering Montmorency Falls, which at 272 feet are higher than Niagara Falls. Return to Quebec City where the rest of the day is free time for independent exploration.
Day 28Quebec City – Montreal (FB,D)
Leaving old-world Quebec, travel along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River, heading for the quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island of the St. Lawrence River. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale. Montreal abounds with sightseeing options, such as a stroll, bicycle or take a horse-drawn carriage through the narrow cobblestone streets of Montreal's famous Parisian-style historic district, filled with cultural landmarks, museums, boutiques, sidewalk cafes and restaurants. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Early this morning our cruise ship will dock in Quebec City. There is a wide range of shore excursions (own expense) available including a scenic drive along French Canada’s Beaupre Coast to Ste-Anne Canyon, followed by a visit to a local winery (shore excursions at own expense).
Day 31Gulf of St Lawrence (FB,L,D)
Early this morning enter the delightful Saguenay Fjord, the largest fjord in North America and one of the most southerly in the world. Marvel at the imposing cliffs towering as high as 450 metres above you as you cruise the deep, icy waters of the fjord. Perhaps be lucky enough to see pods of Beluga, delightful white whales which call the fjord home.
Day 32Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (FB,L,D)
This morning arrive into the charming city of Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. Plenty of free time to explore the city, famed for being the birthplace of Canada. Be sure to visit Confederation Centre or perhaps enjoy an optional tour to the ‘Anne of Green Gables’ homesite (shore excursions at own expense).
Day 33Sydney – Cape Breton Island (FB,L,D)
Having cruised around the northern edge of Nova Scotia, arrive into the charming port of Sydney on Cape Breton Island this morning. Spend the day in Sydney or take an optional sightseeing tour. Perhaps tour the Cabot Trail around Cape Breton Highland National Park, visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum on Bras d’Or Lake or visit the magnificently restored, 17th century Fortress of Louisbourg (shore excursions at own expense).
Day 34Halifax, Nova Scotia (FB,L,D)
Arrive into Halifax this morning and spend the day docked in one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbours. Explore this fascinating and historic city on your own or perhaps take an optional tour to delightful Peggy’s Cove, perhaps the most photographed village in Canada (shore excursions at own expense).
Day 35Bar Harbor, Maine (FB,L,D)
Enter the waters of the United States this morning as you sail along the coast of New Brunswick and past Grand Manan Island. Arrive into Bar Harbor, from where optional tours will be available into the beautiful AcadiaNational Park (shore excursions at own expense). This evening enjoy your final night aboard your ship as you sail south towards the historic city of Boston.

Arrive into the lovely city of Boston early this morning. After disembarking the ship you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel.  The remainder of the day and evening are at leisure for you to explore Boston.
