Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Victoria International Airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at your hotel.

Day 2: Victoria - Butchart Gardens (B)

This morning visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring this 22 hectare showplace of colourful gardens. Afterwards enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas.

Day 3: Georgia Strait - Whistler (B)

Opportunity to take a one hour floatplane flight over the Georgia Strait to Whistler (seasonal, must be pre-booked, additional cost).

Drive north to Nanaimo. Board the BC Ferry and travel through the Georgia Strait to Horseshoe Bay. Journey along the Sea to Sky Highway as the road follows the rugged coastline. Stop at the awesome Shannon Falls before arriving at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village.

Day 4: Whistler - Sun Peaks (B,D)

Travel along the scenic Duffy Lake Road lined with thick forest into the town of Lillooet. In the afternoon we head to the picturesque ski resort of Sun Peaks. You're Invited: This evening enjoy a fur traders feast and presentation accompanied by a tranquil canoe journey.

Day 5: Sun Peaks - Jasper (B,D)

Today you will be rewarded with astounding views as you reach the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies. Weave through thick forests, past meandering rivers, enjoy vistas of the soaring mountains, ice age glaciers and tumbling waterfalls as you make your way through the spectacular Jasper National Park.

Day 6: Icefields Parkway - Glacier 'Ice Explorer' - Lake Louise (B,D)

This morning enjoy a guided walk through the stunning Maligne Canyon, one of Canada’s most spectacular gorges. Depart Jasper and travel along the breath-taking Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most incredible journeys in the world. Make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, North America's largest sub-polar ice pack where you’ll climb aboard the mighty 'Ice Explorer' for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the 300 metre thick Athabasca Glacier. Finish the day at the famous ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, the beautiful Lake Louise where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties.

Day 7: Lake Louise - Banff (B,D)

Visit the spectacular Natural Bridge, which has been carved by the Kicking Horse River, and Yoho National Park that houses the glacier fed Emerald Lake. Arrive into the impressive Banff National Park and enjoy a sightseeing tour including Bow River, the Hoodoos, Bow Falls and a ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for incredible views across the Rockies.

Day 9: Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops (B,L)

Set off on a two day rail experience on ‘The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World’. Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense). Cross Kicking Horse Pass and view glaciers and snow-capped mountains before arriving into Kamloops.

Day 10: Rocky Mountaineer - Vancouver (B,L)

This morning we re-board the Rocky Mountaineer and continue our journey west. Follow the Thompson River, pass through the magnificent Fraser Valley and arrive into Vancouver.

Day 11: Vancouver Sightseeing (B,D)

You're Invited: Experience Vancouver's delectable food scene as you're guided through some award winning restaurants and cafÄs on a breakfast tasting tour. Later, set-off on a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including Stanley Park, famous for its totem poles, the waterfront and Gastown. Visit Capilano Suspension Bridge suspended 70 metres above the river. Make your way across, then walk amongst the canopy on the award winning Treetops Adventure.

Day 12: Vancouver - 7 Night Alaskan Cruise (B,D)

This morning board your luxurious cruise ship for a 7 night Alaskan Voyage in your Outside Stateroom on the Coral Princess or Star Princess. Discover the many services, facilities and activities on offer.

Day 13: Scenic Cruising (B,L,D)

Sit back and enjoy the scenery. Canada and Alaska’s coastline reveals North America’s last great wilderness. Keep a look out for wildlife such as orcas, humpback whales and bald eagles.

Day 14: Ketchikan (B,L,D)

Welcome to the salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside, part is built on pilings over the water, where bald eagles watch from waterside perches. The collection of totem poles is an essential stop for anyone interested in native art.

Day 15: Juneau (B,L,D)

Surrounded by the Gastineau Channel, the Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefields, Alaska’s capital is famed for its scenery and isolation.

Day 16: Skagway (B,L,D)

Cruise into Skagway, the gateway to the Klondike. Enjoy free time to go ashore and stroll along the weathered boardwalks admiring the shop front facades, reminiscent of the gold rush era.

Day 17: Glacier Bay (B,L,D)

Enter the iceberg strewn waters of Glacier Bay National Park. Marvel at the glacial ice wall carved by nature. This breath-taking scenery will be brought to life by a National Park Service Ranger as they help you spot wildlife and interpret the glacial activity.

Day 18: College Fjord (B,L,D)

Within Prince William Sound lies College Fjord and it's collection of glaciers, some reaching forty stories above sea level, dwarfing even the largest of cruise ships.

Day 19: Whittier - Anchorage (B,D)

Disembark in Whittier and travel via the Alaska Wildlife Refuge to Anchorage. Explore Anchorage Markets (subject to operation). After a brief orientation tour of Anchorage, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 20: Anchorage - Mt McKinley (B,D)

You're Invited: Visit the home of Iditarod (sled dog racing) champion Martin Buser. Meet the friendly dogs and take a virtual trip along the Iditarod trail including a sled dog demonstration. Continue our journey deep into the Alaskan wilderness arriving in Mt. McKinley. Nestled in a prime location, this gorgeous lodge is the perfect starting point for your wilderness adventure.

Day 21: Midnight Sun Express Train - Denali (B,D)

Board our full dome railcar on the ‘Midnight Sun Express’ train. Open-air viewing platforms allow you to step outdoors for the perfect snapshot. The highlight this evening is a Music of Denali Dinner Show.

Continue your journey into the heart of the last frontier to Fairbanks. Board an authentic sternwheeler ‘Discovery III’ for a morning cruise. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner.

This morning we are joined by a local guide for a walk along the Freedom Trail. Follow this journey through history which tells stories of the American Revolution which began in Boston. Visit the interesting sights of Boston Common, Faneuil Hall and the Old State House. The afternoon is free for you to explore Boston.

Day 28: Boston - New England - Montreal (B)

Travel through the states of Vermont and New Hampshire, passing through small villages and the picturesque White Mountains, which come alive during the autumn foliage. Pass into Canada and the French-Canadian province of Quebec. We continue our journey to the quintessentially French city of Montreal. Montreal is a slice of old Europe mixed with contemporary design, where rich history and culture meet chic modernism. A simple stroll can lead you past 18th Century facades of old Montreal in one step and glittering skyscrapers and modern sculpture in the next.

Day 29: Montreal Sightseeing (B)

Today enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt. Royal. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Day 30: Montreal - Quebec City (B,L,D)

Continue along the picturesque St. Lawrence River and follow the scenic “Chemin du Roy” (King’s Road), the oldest roadway in Canada before arriving at a traditional Quebecois Sugar Shack. You're Invited: Enjoy French Canadian country charm and hospitality and learn how to make maple candy, then partake in a delicious French Canadian lunch that showcases the local country cuisine. Visit Deschambault, a quaint village along the St Lawrence River, then follow the historic “New France Route” to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1608 as a trading post. Arrive into Quebec City in the afternoon and meet our local guide for a tour of The Plains of Abraham, the Citadel and Parliament buildings. You will then embark on a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux CarrÄ (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Quebec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years.

Day 33: Ottawa Sightseeing - Toronto (B)

This morning our local guide joins us for a tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. See the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the National Gallery. We view the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint and the Rideau Canal. Travel through the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River and along the shores of Lake Ontario to Toronto.

Day 34: Toronto (B)

Start the day with a journey to the top of CN Tower, the tallest free-standing tower in the Americas, for some spectacular views over Toronto. Travel up University Avenue to take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament Buildings, Queen's Park and museum row. Visit Canada’s majestic castle, Casa Loma and step back in time to a period of European elegance and splendour. Enjoy a tour of the castle and free time to explore the magnificent gardens. The afternoon is free for you to explore this modern city.

Day 35: Toronto - Niagara Falls (B,D)

Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before continuing our journey to one of the most spectacular natural sights of North America, Niagara Falls. A highlight today is a thrilling cruise which takes you through churning waters past the American and Bridal Veil Falls and into the inside curve of Horseshoe Falls. Get up close to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world and feel the mist washing over you on this magnificent cruise. Afterwards enjoy some free time or take an optional helicopter ride over the falls.

Day 36: Niagara Falls - Lancaster (B,D)

This morning we cross the border into the United States and journey through the countryside of Pennsylvania and the Appalachian Mountains. Make our way to the quaint and attractive Lancaster County, home to the religious Amish and Mennonite communities who are known for their simple and traditional lives largely void of modern conveniences. This evening savour an authentic, homemade Amish feast prepared in the traditional ways.

Day 37: Lancaster - Washington D.C. (B)

You're Invited: Experience the way of the Amish on a tour through a local village. We are joined by a local guide for a tour around the Amish countryside to learn about the culture, faith and traditional way of life. Day 38: Washington D.C. Sightseeing (B)

Enjoy a city tour viewing such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, the F.B.I. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums or historic & cultural sights.

Day 39: Washington D.C. - New York (B)

Leaving the city we travel north to Philadelphia, the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ and the birthplace of a nation. You will have free time to explore the Independence Mall area on your own and see the award-winning National Constitution Centre or the Liberty Bell. Continue our journey to the exciting and vibrant New York City. A visit to the bustling and iconic "Big Apple" is a must on any trip to the USA and this thriving city will no doubt live up to its reputation. Wonder at the concrete metropolis of sky scrapers, shops, bars, restaurants, boutiques, iconic and historic sights mixed with the style and culture of the people as you soak up the New York atmosphere.
