Day 1: Lima, Peru

Bienvenido! Welcome to Lima, the capital of Peru. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director for a tour briefing.
Two Night Stay: Lima

Day 2: Lima (B,D)

City tour of the historical centre of Lima.
You’re Invited: Take a guided tour of the Larco Museum housing Inca and pre Inca artefacts. Afterwards enjoy a traditional dinner at the museum.

Day 3: Lima - Sacred Valley (B,D)

Fly to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital. Drive to the Sacred Valley, stopping off at Awana Kancha llama farm. Head to the town of Pisac and explore its traditional markets.
Two Night Stay: Sacred Valley

Day 4: Sacred Valley (B)

Enjoy a walking tour of the town of Ollantaytambo.
You’re Invited: Visit a local community and meet the students and teachers at the local school.

Day 5: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu (B,D)

Transfer to the station and board the Vistadome train for the journey to Machu Picchu. Your local guide will reveal some of the mysteries of this “Lost City of the Incas”.
Overnight Stay: Machu Picchu

Day 6: Machu Picchu - Cuzco (B)

Board the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo. Return by coach to Cuzco.
Three Night Stay: Cuzco

Day 7: Cuzco (B,D)

Be guided on a walking tour of Cuzco, the former capital of the Incas. Explore the main plaza, walk cobblestone streets and past ancient Inca buildings to Cuzco’s fascinating central market. Finish with a visit to Inca ruins. Tonight dine at a local restaurant.

Today is free to explore Cuzco.

Day 9: Cuzco - Lake Titicaca (B,D)

Fly to Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Enjoy an excursion to the floating islands of Uros which are made of the hollow totora reeds allowing them to float.

Day 10: Puno - Lima (B)

Fly to Lima.

Day 11: Lima - Iguazú Falls, Brazil (B,D)

Fly to the World Heritage listed Iguazú Falls.
Two Night Stay: Iguazú Falls

Day 12: Iguazú Falls (B)

Cross the border into Argentina for your tour of the Argentinian side of the falls including the ‘Devil’s Throat’ viewpoint.

Day 13: Iguazú Falls - Rio de Janeiro (B)

Tour the majestic Brazilian falls before flying to Rio de Janeiro and famous Copacabana Beach. Rio is a city full of life, colour and vibrancy.
Three Night Stay: Rio de Janeiro

Day 14: Rio de Janeiro (B,D)

Tour the sights of Rio de Janeiro. Ride the cogwheel railway to the ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue, then ride the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain.
You’re Invited: Visit the Sambadrome#, and try on some carnival costumes. This evening feast like a local at a Brazilian Churrascaria.

Day 15: Rio de Janeiro (B)

Today is free to explore Rio.

Day 16: Rio de Janeiro - Buenos Aires - Argentinian Ranch, Argentina (B,D)

Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina, a country with strong European influence.
You’re Invited: Travel to an Argentinian ranch or “estancia”. Here you will learn about their famous cowboys or “gauchos”.

Day 17: Argentinian Ranch - Buenos Aires (B,L)

Explore the farm or take a horseback ride, then savour a traditional “parilla” or BBQ lunch before making our way to Buenos Aires.

Take a guided city tour of Buenos Aires visiting the central square, a traditional café, San Telmo and La Boca. Finish at Recoleta Cemetery.

Fly to the most southerly city in the world, Ushuaia, which is set in a bay at the foot of mountains.

Day 21: Ushuaia - Beagle Channel - 9 day Cruise (B,D)

Embark your Antarctic vessel and sail down the Beagle Channel making your way to the Drake Passage. The next time you see land you’ll be in the world’s most southern continent!

Spend the day listening to lectures from your expert expedition team. The first sightings
of icebergs and snow-capped mountains indicate that you have reached the South Shetland Islands.

Take Zodiac excursions to explore bays, channels and landing sites each day. With wildlife always at the forefront of our minds you will visit penguin rookeries, scout for humpback and minke whales and search for a number of the southern seal species. The majesty of the Peninsula’s mountains will enchant and they give you the opportunity to visit a chinstrap penguin colony high up on a ridge. Watch penguins squabbling over prized pebbles or the boom and crack of a calving glacier. Every day in this wonderful part of the world will be different, entertaining and educational.
