Two Night Stay: Quito
Take a walking tour of the Colonial old city centre before making our way to the middle of the world to put one foot on either side of the equator. Finish with a visit to the fascinating Intiñan Museum.
Fly to the Galápagos Islands and transfer to your ship, the Galápagos Legend. This afternoon visit the Interpretation Centre on San Cristobal Island and learn about Galápagos natural history and wildlife, then take in the views from Tijeretas Hill.
Four Night Cruise: MV Galápagos Legend
Make our way to Gardner Bay on Espanola Island. Be taken to a pristine beach guarded by a colony of sea lions. There are many species of birds to be seen including three species of Darwin’s Finches, plus this is your first opportunity to see the fascinating Marine Iguanas. Cruise to Suarez Point with its volcanic formations where we have the chance to see Lava Lizards, Sally Lightfoot Crabs and a variety of seabirds.
Cruise to Floreana Island and stop at Post Office, so called due to the wooden barrel installed in 1793 to serve as an informal post office. Head to Comorant Point and a lagoon that holds one of the largest populations of Flamingos. Continue to a nesting site for Green Sea Turtles.
Sail to Santa Cruz Island and travel to the highlands in search of the prehistoric looking Galápagos Tortoises. These incredible creatures can live up to 200 years and are a sight to behold. In the afternoon visit a Galápagos Tortoise breeding program. Note: Daily Cruise schedule is subject to change.
The final leg of our journey takes us to Daphne Island for the chance to see a variety of bird species including the famous Blue Footed Booby and Darwin’s Finch. Bid farewell to this natural wonderland as we fly to the port city of Guayaquil.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, Peru, home of ancient civilizations, rich cultures, majestic ruins, snow-capped mountains and fertile jungle. This evening meet your Tour Director for a tour briefing.

City tour of Lima visiting the main plaza, Santo Domingo Church and an ancient pyramid.
You’re Invited: Take a guided tour of the Larco Museum which houses one of the best collections of Inca and pre Inca artefacts. Afterwards enjoy a traditional dinner at the museum.
Fly to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital set high in the Andes Mountains. Drive to the Sacred Valley, stopping off at Awana Kancha llama farm. Head to the town of Pisac with its traditional markets, then continue along the fertile Sacred Valley.

Enjoy a walking tour of the town of Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas.
You’re Invited: Visit a local community which will give you the chance to meet the students and teachers at the local school.
Board the Vistadome train for the journey to Machu Picchu. Mystery still surrounds these well preserved ruins and your expert local guide will share stories and knowledge to reveal some of the mysteries of this “Lost City of the Incas”.
Overnight Stay: Machu Picchu
Spend the morning exploring the town of Aguas Calientes or return to Machu Picchu before re-boarding the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo. Return by coach to Cuzco.
Three Night Stay: Cuzco
Be guided on a walking tour of Cuzco, the former capital of the Incas. Explore the main plaza and its surrounding cathedrals, walk cobblestone streets past ancient Inca buildings to Cuzco’s fascinating central market. Finish with a visit to Inca ruins including the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Tonight dine at a local restaurant.
Today is free to explore Cuzco.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Enjoy an excursion to the floating islands of Uros. These islands are made of the hollow totora reeds which allow them to float and entire communities are built on these fascinating islands.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina, a beautiful country with strong European influence.
Three Night Stay: Buenos Aires
Tour this beautiful city visiting the central square, Plaza de Mayo. Drop in to a traditional café before travelling through San Telmo and down the colourful roads of La Boca. Finish at Recoleta Cemetery, an amazing above ground cemetery.
You’re Invited: This evening soak up a tango show accompanied by a sumptuous dinner.

You’re Invited: Travel to a magnificent Argentinian ranch or “estancia”. Here you will learn about their famous cowboys or “gauchos”. Savour a traditional “parilla” or BBQ lunch, then spend the afternoon exploring the estancia.

Fly to the World Heritage listed Iguazú Falls. Set in a tropical jungle, the falls spill over towering cliffs to create a thunderous roar.
Two Night Stay: Iguazú Falls
Tour the Argentinian side of the falls. Board the ecological train and ride to the ‘Devil’s Throat’ viewpoint. Gaze in awe at one of the most spectacular views that Iguazú has to offer.
Cross the border into Brazil and tour the majestic Brazilian falls. Make your way up close to the base of the falls for outstanding views. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and famous Copacabana Beach. Rio is a city full of life, colour and vibrancy mixed with beautiful tropical coastal scenery.
Three Night Stay: Rio de Janeiro
Today we tour Rio de Janeiro. Ride the cogwheel railway up Corcovado Mountain to the famous ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue, then ride the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for amazing views of the city.
You’re Invited: Have some fun with a visit to the Sambadrome#, the site of Rio Carnival where we try on some colourful carnival costumes.
Today is free for you to explore Rio at your own pace. This evening feast like a local and get your last taste of South America with a typical Brazilian Churrascaria.
