Day 1: Cape Town

Welcome to South Africa, and to the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a welcome briefing from your Tour Director.
Three Night Stay: Cape Town

Day 2: Cape Town (B,L)

Today explore the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Enjoy the spectacular views from the summit of Cape Point which looks out over the Cape of Good Hope, then visit Boulders Beach, home to the protected land-based colony of African penguins.

Day 3: Cape Town (B)

Enjoy a city tour including a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting), and a tour of the old colonial area finishing at the V&A Waterfront. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4: Cape Town – Knysna (B)

We travel along the beautiful Garden Route to Knysna where your hotel is located on the waterfront overlooking Knysna lagoon.

Day 5: Knysna (B)

Today is at leisure for you to enjoy the trendy shops and lovely views that Knsyna has to offer.

Day 6: Knysna – Addo Elephant Park (B,D)

Continue along the Garden Route arriving at Addo. With uninterrupted views of the Karoo Plains and the Zuurberg Mountains, Kuzuko Lodge lies in a private concession to the north of Addo Elephant National Park, the third largest national park in South Africa.

Day 7: Addo National Park (B,D)

Included morning & evening game drives in open safari 4x4 vehicles. Look out for close up photo opportunities of the ‘Big Five’ Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard. Return to the lodge where dinner is included.

Day 8: Port Elizabeth to Durban (B,D)

This morning take advantage of a further game drive (extra expense booked on tour) or relax in the lovely surrounds of the Kuzuko Lodge and enjoy a later breakfast before checking out of your lodge. Leaving Addo, we drive to Port Elizabeth airport for your flight to Durban (flight not included).

Day 9: Drakensburg – Cathedral Peak (B,D)

Travel north into the magnificent World Heritage listed Drakensburg Ranges. En route visit old forts and burial sites as well as travel through stunning mountain scenery before arriving at your hotel, perched on the slopes of the 3004 metre Cathedral Peak.

Day 10: Drakensburg (B,D)

Today is at leisure for you to enjoy the magnificent surroundings of the Drakensburg Ranges. Simply relax in the perfectly manicured grounds or take a local excursion to see rock paintings or perhaps a bush trek to stunning viewpoints.

Day 11: Drakensburg – Swaziland (B,D)

We travel north through Natal, into the independent kingdom of Swaziland where your hotel is located in a picturesque valley.

Day 12: Swaziland – Kruger National Park (B,D)

After a leisurely morning we leave the tiny kingdom and return to South Africa. Continuing into the lowveld region we arrive at world famous Kruger National Park. We drive by coach through the park to our hotel where we enjoy an outdoor ‘boma’ highlight dinner.

Day 13: Kruger National Park (B,L,D)

We start early this morning for our included game drives in open safari vehicles. A light bush lunch is included later before our afternoon game drives commence. The late afternoon is the most active time for wild animals such as Hyena, wild dogs and other carnivores, with antelopes such as Impala spilling on to roads. Tonight enjoy another ‘boma’ African style dinner under the stars.

Day 14: Kruger National Park (B,D)

Relax this morning at the lodge with a late breakfast before departing for the picturesque town of Hazyview. You’re Invited: Visit Elephant Whispers, a project dedicated to securing the future of the African elephant. Experienced elephant handlers share their in-depth knowledge and you get a chance to get up close to these amazing animals.

Day 15: Panorama Route – Johannesburg (B)

Travel along the ‘Panorama Route’ and view the stunning Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world, and one of Africa’s natural treasures. Visit the Bourke’s Luck Potholes and stop at World’s View. Leaving the mountainous north-east we travel to Johannesburg.

Day 16: Johannesburg – Victoria Falls – Elephant Valley (B,D)

Depart the hotel this morning for your transfer to the airport to meet your flight (flight not included) to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On arrival is your tour of one of the seven Wonders of the World, and one of the most spectacular natural sites, Victoria Falls. Later travel just across the Botswana border to your lodge at Elephant Valley, located around a waterhole frequently visited by wildlife. You’re Invited: Visit Chinotimba township to experience life in a truly African community. Tonight enjoy and included outdoor ‘boma’ highlight dinner.

Day 17: Chobe National Park (B,L,D)

This morning is your included cruise on the Chobe River, where hippo, elephant and buffalo inhabit the shallow waterways. Later enjoy lunch at the lodge an included game drive along the banks of the Chobe River.

Day 18: Botswana – Johannesburg (B)

After a leisurely morning, transfer to the airport for your flight (flight not included book after midday) to Johannesburg.

Day 19: Johannesburg – Nairobi (B)

Join your flight (not included) to Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a welcome briefing from your Tour Director.

Day 20: Nairobi to Amboseli (B,L,D)

Drive south to Amboseli National Park and check into your lodge spectacularly located in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. After lunch at the lodge enjoy an included game drive through the open savanna.

Day 21: Amboseli (B,L,D)

Morning and evening games drives in this remarkable reserve known as a photographers paradise with the most popular displays of wildlife including lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah and buffalo. You’re Invited: Visit a traditional Maasai village.

Day 22: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha (B,L,D)

Travel along Kenya’s great escarpment to Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley. The lake is 146 square kilometres and home to a large variety of life including a sizeable population of hippo.

Day 23: Lakes Area (B,L,D)

Depart the lodge after breakfast for a game drive at Lake Nakuru, whose ecosystem comprises of white rhino and buffalo, plus over 450 species of terrestrial birds.

Day 24: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara (B,L,D)

After breakfast, visit Crescent Island, a wildlife sanctuary on the shore of Lake Naivasha. Travel south into the Masai Mara National Reserve. The park has a very high density of lion, leopard and cheetah and is one of the best places in Africa to see these big cats all year round.

Day 25: Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D)

Enjoy included morning and evening extended game drives through the Masai Mara which is situated in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grasslands, home to large herds of zebra, impala, antelope and gazelle. Giraffe search for lush foliage and hippos populate the streams and waterholes, all looked on by lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena.

Day 26: Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D)

Enjoy included morning and evening extended game drives through the Masai Mara.

Day 27: Masai Mara to Nairobi (B,L,D)

Travel back to Nairobi where you are treated to a final night African feast at Carnivores restaurant
