Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Victoria Airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Victoria - Butchart Gardens (B)

Visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring the gardens. Afterwards enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas.

Day 3: Victoria - Campbell River - Discovery Passage Wildlife Cruise (B,D)

Make our way north along Vancouver Island through forested roads to Campbell River. Famous for migrating salmon, this is a picturesque area where wildlife abounds. Enjoy this pristine environment on board a comfortable cruise with expert naturalists. Sail through the Discovery Passage in pursuit of whales, bears, eagles, sea lions and dolphins.

Day 4: Georgia Strait - Sunshine Coast (B,D)

Travel by BC Ferry across the Georgia Strait back to the mainland and the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Finish the day at a magnificent cliff-side resort with some of the best views in British Columbia.

Day 5: Sunshine Coast Scenic Cruise (B)

Ancient rivers have carved countless inlets for us to explore. This morning we'll cruise spectacular inlets while keeping watch for wildlife. This is a stunning area that is renowned as being one of the most naturally gifted in the West Coast. The afternoon is free to soak up the beautiful surroundings and enjoy your unique location.

Day 6: Sunshine Coast - Whistler (B)

Travel south to Langdale where we board the BC Ferry to Horseshoe Bay. Journey north along the Sea to Sky Highway as the road follows the rugged coastline. Stop at the awesome Shannon Falls before arriving at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village.

Today is at leisure for you to explore Whistler. You're Invited: This evening we will be met by a local culinary expert and taken to experience three different dining destinations. Each course allows you to taste a different part of Whistler's delights.

Day 8: Whistler - Chase (B,D)

Travel along the scenic Duffy Lake Road into the town of Lillooet. The days end finds us at the tranquil Little Shuswap Lake staying in a unique deluxe First Nations lodge. You're Invited: Be greeted and taken on a cultural tour that will explain the traditions of the Shuswap people, then indulge in a BBQ dinner that specialises in local cuisine.

Day 9: Chase - Jasper (B)

Today you will be rewarded with astounding views as you reach the Canadian Rockies. Weave through thick forests, past meandering rivers, enjoy vistas of the soaring mountains, ice age glaciers and tumbling waterfalls as you make your way through the spectacular Jasper National Park.

Today you have the opportunity to explore Jasper and it's surrounds. You're Invited: This evening journey to the foothills of Pyramid Mountain and experience an authentic Canadian Rockies Western style dinner.

Day 11: Icefields Parkway - Glacier 'Ice Explorer' - Lake Louise (B,D)

This morning enjoy a guided walk through the stunning Maligne Canyon. Depart Jasper and travel along the breath-taking Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, where you’ll climb aboard the mighty 'Ice Explorer' for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the Athabasca Glacier. Finish the day at the famous ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, the beautiful Lake Louise where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties.

Day 13: Lake Louise - Banff (B,D)

Visit the spectacular Natural Bridge, which has been carved by the Kicking Horse River, and Yoho National Park that houses the glacier fed Emerald Lake. End in the impressive Banff National Park and enjoy a sightseeing tour including Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. In the evening catch the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy the sweeping panorama of mountains and valleys while dining on a hearty meal.

Day 14: Wolfdog Sanctuary (B,L)

Make your way through Banff National Park to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. Dedicated to the rescue and safe haven for neglected or displaced wolfdogs, this is a unique and special experience that will get you up close to one of the most regal animals in the Rockies. Your guide will explain the significance of Wolves and Wolfdogs in the wild. Wander outside the enclosures and observe these amazing creatures. On our way back enjoy a picnic lunch by a lake in the National Park.

Day 16: Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops (B,L)

Set off on a two day rail experience on ‘The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World’. Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense). Cross Kicking Horse Pass and view glaciers and snow-capped mountains before arriving into Kamloops.

Day 17: Rocky Mountaineer - Vancouver (B,L)

Continue on board the Rocky Mountaineer following the Thompson River and passing through the magnificent Fraser Valley. Late afternoon we arrive into Vancouver.

Day 18: Vancouver Sightseeing (B,D)

You're Invited: This morning experience Vancouver's food scene as you're guided on a breakfast tasting tour. Afterwards set-off on a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including Stanley Park, the waterfront and Gastown. Visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and make your way across the bridge 70 metres above the river.

Day 19: 7 Night Alaskan Cruise (B,D)

Transfer to Canada Place Pier and check into your comfortable Outside Stateroom (upgrade to Balcony Stateroom additional expense) on the luxurious Holland America Cruise Ship ms Nieuw Amsterdam and settle-in for an unforgettable 7 night voyage through the famed Inside Passage.

Day 20: Cruising the Inside Passage (B,L,D)

Spend the day cruising the Inside Passage, one of the world's most spectacular waterways passing forests, mountains, islands and inlets.

Day 21: Tracy Arm Fjord - Juneau (B,L,D)

Cruise into the spectacular Tracy Arm, a narrow, 56 kilometre long fjord, another of Alaska’s most dramatic glacier settings. Tucked away at the end of this waterway are the twin Sawyer Glaciers, calving icebergs into the jade-coloured inland sea. In the afternoon arrive into Alaska’s capital city, Juneau.

Day 22: Skagway (B,L,D)

Established in 1897 as a trading post for prospectors headed to the Klondike Gold Rush, Skagway was once an untamed town. Today, it is civilised, though its colourful past is carefully preserved in the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park.

Day 23: Glacier Bay National Park (B,L,D)

Early this morning your cruise ship enters the iceberg-strewn waters of Glacier Bay National Park, where thirteen spectacular glaciers flow from surrounding mountains into the waters of the bay. A National Park Service Ranger will help you spot wildlife, while pointing out sights and explaining glacial activity.

Day 24: Ketchikan (B,L,D)

Welcome to the salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside and part is built on pilings over the water, where bald eagles watch from waterside perches.

Day 25: The Inside Passage (B,L,D)

Today is a day of relaxation. Relax on deck with a drink and watch unmatched scenery glide by.

Day 26: Vancouver - Boston (B)

Disembark and transfer to Vancouver Airport to board your flight to Boston (flight not included in land only bookings. Book flight after 12:30pm).

Day 27: Boston Sightseeing (B,D)

This morning we are joined by a local guide for a walk along the Freedom Trail. Follow this journey through history which tells stories of the American Revolution which began in Boston. Visit the interesting sights of Boston Common, Faneuil Hall and the Old State House. The afternoon is free for you to explore Boston.

Day 28: Boston - New England - Montreal (B)

Travel through the states of Vermont and New Hampshire, passing through small villages and the picturesque White Mountains, which come alive during the autumn foliage. Pass into Canada and the French-Canadian province of Quebec. We continue our journey to the quintessentially French city of Montreal. Montreal is a slice of old Europe mixed with contemporary design, where rich history and culture meet chic modernism. A simple stroll can lead you past 18th Century facades of old Montreal in one step and glittering skyscrapers and modern sculpture in the next.

Day 29: Montreal Sightseeing (B)

Today enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt. Royal. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Day 30: Montreal - Quebec City (B,L,D)

Continue along the picturesque St. Lawrence River and follow the scenic “Chemin du Roy” (King’s Road), the oldest roadway in Canada before arriving at a traditional Quebecois Sugar Shack. You're Invited: Enjoy French Canadian country charm and hospitality and learn how to make maple candy, then partake in a delicious French Canadian lunch that showcases the local country cuisine. Visit Deschambault, a quaint village along the St Lawrence River, then follow the historic “New France Route” to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1608 as a trading post. Arrive into Quebec City in the afternoon and meet our local guide for a tour of The Plains of Abraham, the Citadel and Parliament buildings. You will then embark on a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux CarrÄ (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Quebec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years.

Day 33: Ottawa Sightseeing - Toronto (B)

This morning our local guide joins us for a tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. See the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the National Gallery. We view the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint and the Rideau Canal. Travel through the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River and along the shores of Lake Ontario to Toronto.

Day 34: Toronto (B)

Start the day with a journey to the top of CN Tower, the tallest free-standing tower in the Americas, for some spectacular views over Toronto. Travel up University Avenue to take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament Buildings, Queen's Park and museum row. Visit Canada’s majestic castle, Casa Loma and step back in time to a period of European elegance and splendour. Enjoy a tour of the castle and free time to explore the magnificent gardens. The afternoon is free for you to explore this modern city.

Day 35: Toronto - Niagara Falls (B,D)

Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before continuing our journey to one of the most spectacular natural sights of North America, Niagara Falls. A highlight today is a thrilling cruise which takes you through churning waters past the American and Bridal Veil Falls and into the inside curve of Horseshoe Falls. Get up close to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world and feel the mist washing over you on this magnificent cruise. Afterwards enjoy some free time or take an optional helicopter ride over the falls.

This morning we cross the border into the United States and journey through the countryside of Pennsylvania and the Appalachian Mountains. Make our way to the quaint and attractive Lancaster County, home to the religious Amish and Mennonite communities who are known for their simple and traditional lives largely void of modern conveniences. This evening savour an authentic, homemade Amish feast prepared in the traditional ways.

Day 37: Lancaster - Washington D.C. (B)

You're Invited: Experience the way of the Amish on a tour through a local village. We are joined by a local guide for a tour around the Amish countryside to learn about the culture, faith and traditional way of life. Day 38: Washington D.C. Sightseeing (B)

Enjoy a city tour viewing such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, the F.B.I. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums or historic & cultural sights.

Day 39: Washington D.C. - New York (B)

Leaving the city we travel north to Philadelphia, the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ and the birthplace of a nation. You will have free time to explore the Independence Mall area on your own and see the award-winning National Constitution Centre or the Liberty Bell. Continue our journey to the exciting and vibrant New York City. A visit to the bustling and iconic "Big Apple" is a must on any trip to the USA and this thriving city will no doubt live up to its reputation. Wonder at the concrete metropolis of sky scrapers, shops, bars, restaurants, boutiques, iconic and historic sights mixed with the style and culture of the people as you soak up the New York atmosphere.
