An update from our Chairman and Founder, Glen Moroney

Firstly, I hope that you and your families are well and adjusting to the increasing health and safety restrictions enacted to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

We support these actions and believe that mutual co-operation and social distancing will help slow down the spread of the virus, to protect as many people as possible. Our commitment to the health and safety of our guests, employees and the entire Scenic Group family remains paramount.

These extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures and I offer you my heartfelt apologies if you have been impacted. Please be assured we acknowledge and greatly appreciate your support and patience during this unprecedented period. Full details of those trips impacted and the support we are offering can be found on our website.

Our global management and operations teams are making every effort to ensure our guests who are still travelling are looked after as a priority. I have been genuinely heartened by the teamwork in resolving these unique challenges, the unwavering commitment to safely repatriate our guests’ home.

Like all travel businesses The Scenic Group (Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Emerald Cruises, Evergreen Tours & Cruises, and Mayflower) has been forced, to make significant changes to our global operations, including the suspension of ocean, river and land tours.

As a private company founded 33 years ago, the Scenic Group has faced many challenges during this time. We are resilient, well-resourced and will continue to focus on creating world-class luxury cruise and tour experiences.

However, as the situation continues to worsen in many countries, with Government lockdowns and border closures, it has become very difficult to plan with certainty the schedule of future operations. We are continually monitoring the situation and will do our best to provide you with timely updates on our cruises and tours, subject to the relevant Government travel advisories and associated restrictions.

We are committed to ensuring that when this situation normalises, we are ready to deliver memories that last a lifetime wherever your next travel experience with us is. Many of our guests tell us that they are looking forward to planning future trips and so we hope you don’t mind that over the coming weeks we will be in touch to inspire you and ensure we can all enjoy a little escape from this situation through some armchair travel.

We look forward to exploring our precious world with you again very soon.

Please keep safe.
