1. Ride the Rocky Mountaineer

When you think of Canada, majestic mountains and spectacular scenery are sure to spring to mind. So, what better way to experience Canada’s remarkable natural wonders than by travelling by train on board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer?

Marvel at the beauty of the glaciers, lakes and forests as you ascend through the soaring, rugged snow-capped mountains of Canada’s highest peak, Mount Robson on the ‘Journey Through the Clouds’ from Vancouver to Jasper. Alternatively, embark on the ‘First Passage to the West’, the most popular route connecting Banff and Vancouver.

2. Nature and wildlife

Another of the top reasons to come to Canada is for its spectacular and diverse range of wildlife. April and May are the best times to travel to Canada particularly for wildlife viewing as this is when bears emerge from hibernation and you might even spot bear cubs with their mothers.

Plan to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks, the home of the iconic Canadian wildlife including elk, moose, black and grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, deer and caribou.
