    Bienvenido! Welcome to Lima, Peru. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.

  • Day 2 Lima - Iquitos

    Fly to the city of Iquitos. Journey up the river to your Lodge and begin your jungle adventure.

  • Day 3 Amazon Lodge

    Spend the days exploring the Amazon Jungle. With an incredible variety of plant and animal life along with unique people and cultures this is a truly fascinating journey. Cruise along the river spotting for dolphins, try your hand at catching a piranha, visit Indian villages and learn of their culture, take guided jungle walks and learn about the surrounding jungle while spotting howler and capuchin monkeys.

  • Day 6 Lima

    This morning enjoy a tour of Lima, a former city of Conquistadors. Walk the famous Jiron de la Union and visit the main plaza which houses the Presidential & Municipal Palaces. Enter the sanctuary of the 16th century Santo Domingo Church before seeing one of Lima’s famous ancient pyramids in the middle of the city. You’re Invited: Tonight take a guided tour of the Larco Museum. Housing one of the best collections of Inca and pre Inca artefacts, this is the perfect pre-cursor to your journey ahead. Afterwards enjoy a traditional dinner at the museum.

  • Day 7 Lima - Sacred Valley

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire set high in the Andes Mountains. As you transfer to the breath-taking Sacred Valley, stop off at Awana Kancha llama farm and textile centre. Gain an insight into the Andean camelids; llama, alpaca, vicuña and guanaco as well as viewing traditional Andean weaving techniques. This afternoon we head into the colourful town of Pisac with its traditional markets. Continue along the fertile Sacred Valley marvelling at the towering mountains and unique way of life that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.

  • Day 8 Sacred Valley

    Enjoy a walking tour of the town of Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas. Your tour includes a visit to the incredible Incan fortress that overlooks the town. You’re Invited: We will then visit a local community which will give you the chance to meet the students and teachers at the local school and learn about their lifestyle.

  • Day 9 Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

    Transfer to the train station and board the Vistadome train for the journey to Machu Picchu. The highlight of the day is your visit to the ancient Inca site. Mystery still surrounds these well preserved ruins perched in between sheer cliffs and your visit will allow you to understand why they are one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Your expert local guide will share stories and knowledge to reveal some of the mysteries of this “Lost City of the Incas”.

  • Day 10 Machu Picchu - Cuzco

    Spend the morning exploring the quaint town of Aguas Calientes or return for a final visit to Machu Picchu before re boarding the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo. Return to Cuzco through the beautiful Sacred Valley and across the patchwork fields of the Chinchero plateau.

  • Day 11 Cuzco

    Be guided on a walking tour of the charming city of Cuzco, a World Heritage listed site that was a former capital of the Incas. Explore the beautiful main plaza and its surrounding cathedrals. Be guided through cobblestone streets and past ancient Inca buildings to Cuzco’s fascinating central market. Finish with a visit to the Inca ruins on the outskirts of the city including the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Tonight dine at a local restaurant that specialises in nouveau Andean cuisine.

    Today is free to explore the fascinating town of Cuzco.

    Discover More: Explore the archaeological site of Moray and the salt pans of Maras, take a markets, museums and ruins tour or visit a Peruvian Paso horse ranch (additional cost)

  • Day 13 Cuzco - Lake Titicaca

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puno on the banks of the beautiful Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Enjoy an excursion to the unique floating islands of Uros. These islands are made of the hollow totora reeds which allow them to float. Entire communities are built on these fascinating islands and your guide will introduce you to the unique lifestyle of the Uros.

  • Day 14 Puno - Lima

    Soak up the surroundings of Lake Titicaca before transferring to the airport for our flight to Lima.

    Fly across the breadth of South America to the World Heritage listed Iguazú Falls.

    Tour the Argentinian side of the falls. Board the ecological train and ride to the ‘Devil’s Throat’ viewpoint. Feel the spray of the water and gaze in awe at one of the most spectacular views that Iguazú has to offer.

  • Day 17 Iguazú Falls - Rio de Janeiro

    This morning cross the border into Brazil and tour the majestic Brazilian falls. Make your way through the rainforest and along walkways up close to the base of the falls for outstanding views. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and famous Copacabana Beach. Rio is a city full of life, colour and vibrancy mixed with beautiful tropical coastal scenery and is a delight to visit.

  • Day 18 Rio de Janeiro

    Today we tour the marvellous sights of Rio de Janeiro. Ride the cogwheel railway up Corcovado
    Mountain and see the famous ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue. Ride the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for amazing views of the city and landscape. You’re Invited: Have some fun and get to know how the locals party with a visit to the Sambadrome#, the site of the famous Rio Carnival where we try on some elaborate and colourful carnival costumes. This evening feast like a local at a Brazilian Churrascaria.

  • Day 20 Rio - Buenos Aires

    Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  • Day 21 Buenos Aires

    Get acquainted with this beautiful city known as the “Paris of the Americas”. Visit the central square, Plaza de Mayo surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Presidential Headquarters) and the Cabildo (Colonial Town Hall). Get to know how the locals live as we drop in to a traditional café. We then travel through the charming streets of San Telmo, the home of Tango and down the colourful roads of La Boca, famous for its multi-coloured houses. Make our way to the famous Recoleta Cemetery, an amazing above ground cemetery lined with mausoleums and statues. You’re Invited: This evening we have a taste of tradition and culture as we soak up the sultry moves of a tango show accompanied by a sumptuous dinner.

  • Day 24 Montevideo, Uruguay

    Montevideo is a charming city with colonial customs, and the old town is a delight to wander. Nearby is Colonia del Sacramento, the oldest city in Uruguay and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Day 25 At Sea

    Relax as you cruise south towards the Falkland Islands.

    Take advantage of the ship’s many outstanding facilities, or simply watch the scenery glide by.

  • Day 27 Falkland Islands

    Reach the remote Falkland Islands, a country with a long and fascinating history, unique culture and natural beauty. Weather permitting, we visit the capital Port Stanley, which is easily explored on foot. Further afield there are large colonies of king, gentoo and magellan penguins (shore excursions at own expense).

  • Day 28 Strait of Magellan

    Cruise back to the mainland and the spectacular Patagonian Argentina. The Strait of Magellan lies between mainland South America and the island of Tierra del Fuego (the land of fire). It is a narrow and important stretch of water and an important trade route. Lined with snowbound mountains and forest it is often likened to the Inside Passage in Alaska.

  • Day 29 Punta Arenas, Cockburn Channel, Beagle Channel & Glacier Alley

    Punta Arenas grew to prominence due to trade through the Magellan Strait. Today it is the largest town and the capital of Southern Chile. Highly recommended is a visit to Torres del Paine National Park with its unique geography. Make our way into the Cockburn Channel connecting the Strait of Magellan to the Beagle Channel, named after the HMS Beagle that carried Charles Darwin through this region and on to the Galápagos Islands. Finish the day cruising through Glacier Alley, an extraordinary piece of nature with numerous tongues of glaciers that snake down to the sea.

  • Day 30 Ushuaia

    The southernmost town in the world, where dominating peaks loom on three sides and the fourth opens to the Beagle Channel. Ushuaia is a quaint town perfect for exploring on foot.

  • Day 31 Cape Horn

    Known as a landmark in cruising and navigation, Cape Horn is the most southerly mainland point in the world.

  • Day 32 Canal Sarmiento & Amalia Glacier

    Continue through the iconic and breath-taking scenery of the Chilean Fjords. Be among the lucky few to spend a glorious day scenic cruising through Tierra del Fuego and the snow-capped peaks and ethereal blue glaciers of Canal Sarmiento. This majestic waterway is surrounded by other-worldly beauty, watch as Amalia Glacier comes into view and witness countless seabirds that make their home in this dramatic landscape.

  • Day 33 Chilean Fjords

    Sail through the beautiful maze of islets known as the Chilean Fjords. Renowned as being some of the most spectacular in the world and rivalling those of Norway and Alaska, this region consists of a 1,000-mile maze of virgin-forested islands, glistening glaciers and beautifully sculpted mountains.

  • Day 34 Puerto Montt

    Puerto Montt is the gateway to the scenic Lakes District and contains a series of pine forests, icy lakes, Bavarian hamlets and snow-capped volcanoes.

  • Day 35 At Sea

    Spend the day cruising the coast of Chile reflecting on all the marvels you have seen.

  • Day 36 Valparaiso - Santiago, Chile

    Disembark in the morning at Valparaiso and bid farewell to your crew. Valparaiso is a steep amphitheatre renowned for its brightly coloured residences and church steeples. UNESCO has declared it a World Heritage site. Ride one of the city’s many funiculars and take in the views. Transfer to Santiago, the country’s capital. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner.
