  • Day 2 Victoria – Butchart Gardens

    Visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring the gardens. Afterwards enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas.

  • Day 3 Victoria – Campbell River – Discovery Passage Wildlife Cruise

    Make our way north along Vancouver Island through forested roads to Campbell River. Famous for migrating salmon, this is a picturesque area where wildlife abounds. Enjoy this pristine environment on board a comfortable cruise with expert naturalists. Sail through the Discovery Passage in pursuit of whales, bears, eagles, sea lions and dolphins.

  • Day 4 Georgia Strait – Sunshine Coast

    Travel by BC Ferry across the Georgia Strait back to the mainland and the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Finish the day at a magnificent water-side resort with some of the best views in British Columbia.

  • Day 5 Sunshine Coast Scenic Cruise

    Ancient rivers have carved countless inlets for us to explore. This morning we’ll cruise spectacular inlets while keeping watch for wildlife. This is a stunning area that is renowned as being one of the most naturally gifted in the West Coast. The afternoon is free to soak up the spectacular surroundings and enjoy your unique location. Take a walk, go kayaking or simply relax in the resort overlooking the mountains and inlets.

  • Day 6 Sunshine Coast – Whistler

    Travel south to Langdale and board the BC Ferry to Horseshoe Bay. Journey along the Sea to Sky Highway following the rugged coastline. Stop at the awesome Shannon Falls before arriving at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village.

    Today is at leisure for you to explore Whistler. You’re Invited: This evening we will be met by a local culinary expert and taken to experience three different dining destinations. Each course allows you to taste a different part of Whistler’s delights.

  • Day 8 Whistler – Chase

    Travel along the scenic Duffy Lake Road into the town of Lillooet. The days end finds us at the tranquil Little Shuswap Lake staying in a unique deluxe First Nations lodge. You’re Invited: Be taken to learn about the sockeye salmon run that occurs here each autumn and the importance of the salmon to the indigenous communities. Tonight indulge in a BBQ dinner that specialises in local cuisine.

  • Day 9 Chase – Jasper

    Be rewarded with astounding views as you reach the Canadian Rockies. Weave through thick forests, past meandering rivers, enjoy vistas of the soaring mountains, ice age glaciers and tumbling waterfalls as you make your way through the spectacular Jasper National Park.

  • Day 10 Jasper

    Explore Jasper and it’s surrounds. You’re Invited: This evening journey to the foothills of Pyramid Mountain and experience an authentic Canadian Rockies Western style dinner (Jasper Stables dinner is seasonal and may not be available on early and late season departures, enquire for details).

  • Day 11 Icefields Parkway – Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Lake Louise

    Enjoy a guided walk through the stunning Maligne Canyon. Depart Jasper and travel along the breath-taking Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, where you’ll climb aboard the mighty ‘Ice Explorer’ for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the Athabasca Glacier. Finish the day at the famous ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, the beautiful Lake Louise where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties.

  • Day 13 Lake Louise – Banff

    Visit the spectacular Natural Bridge, and Yoho National Park that houses the glacier fed Emerald Lake. End in the impressive Banff National Park and enjoy a sightseeing tour including Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. In the evening catch the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy the sweeping views while dining on a hearty meal.

  • Day 14 Wolfdog Sanctuary

    Make your way to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. Dedicated to the rescue and safe haven for neglected or displaced wolfdogs, this is a unique and special experience that will get you up close to one of the most regal animals in the Rockies. Your guide will explain the significance of wolves and wolfdogs in the wild as you are taken inside the enclosures for an up close experience with these amazing creatures.

  • Day 16 Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops

    Set off on a two day rail experience on ‘The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World’. Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense). Cross Kicking Horse Pass and view glaciers and snow-capped mountains before arriving into Kamloops.
    Overnight Stay: Kamloops Hotel (as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer)

  • Day 17 Rocky Mountaineer – Vancouver

    Continue on board the Rocky Mountaineer following the Thompson River and passing through the magnificent Fraser Valley. Late afternoon we arrive into Vancouver.

  • Day 18 Vancouver Sightseeing

    You’re Invited: Take the skyride up Grouse Mountain and head to the habitat of resident grizzlies Grinder and Coola. Learn about their lives before partaking in a bear inspired breakfast. Go on a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including Stanley Park, the waterfront and Gastown. Visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and make your way across the bridge 70 metres above the river.

  • Day 19 Vancouver – 7 Night Alaskan Cruise

    Transfer to Canada Place Pier and check into your comfortable Outside Stateroom (upgrade to Balcony Stateroom additional expense) on the luxurious Holland America Cruise Ship ms Nieuw Amsterdam and settle-in for an unforgettable 7 night voyage through the famed Inside Passage.

    Spend the day cruising the Inside Passage, one of the world’s most spectacular waterways passing forests, mountains, islands and inlets.

  • Day 21 Tracy Arm Fjord – Juneau

    Cruise into the spectacular Tracy Arm, a narrow, 56 kilometre long fjord, another of Alaska’s most dramatic glacier settings. In the afternoon arrive into Alaska’s capital city, Juneau, known for its dramatic setting.

  • Day 22 Skagway

    Established in 1897 as a trading post for prospectors headed to the Klondike Gold Rush, Skagway was once an untamed town. Today the town retains its gold rush character and its colourful past is carefully preserved in the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park.

  • Day 23 Glacier Bay National Park

    Early this morning your cruise ship enters the iceberg-strewn waters of Glacier Bay National Park, where thirteen spectacular glaciers flow from surrounding mountains into the waters of the bay. A National Park Service Ranger will help you spot wildlife, while pointing out sights and explaining glacial activity.

  • Day 24 Ketchikan

    Welcome to the salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside and part is built on pilings over the water, where bald eagles watch from waterside perches.

    Today is a day of relaxation. Relax on deck with a drink and watch unmatched scenery glide by.

  • Day 26 Vancouver – Toronto

    Disembark and transfer to Vancouver Airport to board your flight to Toronto (flight not included in land only bookings. Book flight after 12:30pm).

  • Day 27 Niagara Falls

    Today you will see one of the most spectacular natural sights of North America as you visit the incredible Niagara Falls. Travel through the countryside before arriving at Niagara for a thrilling cruise to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. Get up close to one of the most amazing waterfalls in the world as you feel the mist washing over you. After some free time or an optional helicopter ride over the falls, visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto early this evening. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner.

  • Day 28 Toronto – Kingston – Ottawa

    This morning take a journey to the top of CN Tower, the tallest free-standing tower in the Americas for some spectacular views over Toronto. Travel up University Avenue to take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament Buildings, Queens Park and museum row. Travel along the shores of Lake Ontario to the colonial city of Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. Board your vessel for a cruise of one of the most picturesque areas in Eastern Canada. Travel through the islands and canals and view spectacular old buildings, attractive neighbourhoods and abundant birdlife. Continue following the rivers and lakes to Canada’s capital.

  • Day 29 Ottawa Sightseeing

    This morning our local guide joins us for a tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. See the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the National Gallery. We view the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint and the Rideau Canal. Take a break at Byward Market where you have free time to explore before continuing your city tour with a visit to the Canadian Museum of History, Canada’s largest and most popular cultural institution. You’re Invited: Travel to a First Nations camp on Victoria Island where you will partake in an informative tour of the Native village, then witness a vibrant performance of traditional dancing.

  • Day 30 Ottawa – Quebec City

    Bienvenue! Welcome to the French-Canadian province of Quebec. Make your way to a traditional Quebecois Sugar Shack. You’re Invited: Enjoy French Canadian country charm and hospitality and learn how to make maple candy, then partake in a delicious lunch that showcases the local country cuisine. Visit Deschambault a quaint village along the St. Lawrence River before a scenic drive along the “Chemin du Roy” (King’s Road), the oldest roadway in Canada. This historic “New France Route,” takes you to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1608 as a trading post. Arrive into Quebec City in the afternoon and meet our local guide for a tour of The Plains of Abraham, the Citadel and Parliament buildings. You will then embark on a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Quebec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years.

  • Day 32 Quebec City – Montreal

    Leaving old-world Quebec, travel along the shore of the St. Lawrence River. Head for the quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island of the St. Lawrence River. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St. Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt. Royal. Montreal abounds with sightseeing options, such as taking a stroll, bicycle or a horse-drawn carriage through the narrow cobblestone streets of Montreal’s famous Parisian-style historic district, filled with cultural landmarks, museums, boutiques and restaurants.
