    Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Calgary International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Calgary is an eclectic city that is a blend of cowboy culture and modern metropolis. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a special welcome dinner. Ascend Calgary Tower and take in the views of the city and skyline while you dine on a sumptuous dinner.

  • Day 2 Calgary – Kananaskis

    Be taken on a tour of the home of the famous stampede. See Stephen Ave filled with Calgary’s boutiques, continue to the beautiful Olympic Plaza commemorating the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, then pass by historic Calgary City Hall, Fort Calgary and Stampede Park. Depart Calgary and make our way from the plains to the wild and beautiful Kananaskis country, a system of pristine parks. You’re Invited: Drop in to Boundary Ranch, a traditional mountain property deep in the Kananaskis valley and enjoy an authentic Western-Canadian style lunch in the impressive log lodge. Afterwards head to your alpine style hotel that has unbeatable views of the surrounding mountains.

  • Day 3 Kananaskis – Banff Sightseeing

    Follow roads that snake through the mountains with majestic views always at the forefront. Enter Banff National Park and the quintessential Rocky Mountains town of Banff with Mount Rundle and Mount Cascade dominating its skyline. Take the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain where you will witness inspiring views over the surrounding peaks and valleys. You’re Invited: On arrival at your hotel, experience iconic Canada when you meet a retired Mountie. Famous for their red jackets, felt hats and riding pants, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police rank among the country’s highest and most identifiable national symbols. Hear exciting and colourful stories of their rich history and traditions.

  • Day 4 Banff

    The morning is free to either relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or explore the town. You’re Invited: This afternoon, head to the historic “Castle in the Rockies”, Banff Springs Hotel for a history tour of the hotel that was originally built in 1888 for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Afterwards join us for an afternoon tea that is steeped in tradition.

  • Day 5 Banff – Lake Louise

    Bid farewell to Banff and head to Lake Louise. Prepare yourself for one of the highlights of your journey as you arrive at Canada’s “Diamond in the Wilderness”, the beautiful Lake Louise where you have the opportunity to stay at one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties. You’re Invited: Ho, Ho, Ho! This afternoon we’ll feel like Santa is in town by jumping on board a traditional horse drawn sleigh and taking a fun sleigh ride around Lake Louise. Rug up on the back and soak up the breathtaking views. Spend the rest of the day gazing out the hotel windows at the surreal winter wonderland outside, take a serene walk around the lake or partake in one of the many winter activities on offer.

  • Day 6 Icefields Parkway – Jasper

    This morning we travel north along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Enjoy breath-taking mountain scenery as you pass rugged peaks and glaciers fringed by thick forest and glistening frozen lakes. The day’s end finds us in Jasper National Park, an alpine wonderland of pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife. It’s not uncommon to see the local animals wandering in and around town. Spend the afternoon by the fire or explore the quaint town of Jasper.

  • Day 7 VIA Rail “The Canadian”

    Today you can choose one of two amazing Jasper actvities. For those who are feeling adventurous, take one of Jaspers most impressive winter excursions. Your guide will take you through the park to the bottom of the beautifully carved Maligne Canyon. Here you will see frozen waterfalls, ice caves and incredible ice formations. Or journey through Jasper National Park which is renowned for its prolific wildlife. Be taken in search of the most iconic creatures such as elk, deer, moose, wolves, big horn sheep and coyotes and learn about these animals, their habitat and how they survive the mountain winters. This afternoon we relive the Golden Age of rail travel and board VIA Rail “The Canadian” train, for one of the world’s great train journeys. It all begins with a champagne reception and welcome by the train conductor. From the comfort of the glass-dome car you can admire the giant mountain peaks, shimmering lakes and immense forests. In the dining car you are treated to cuisine prepared by an on board chef, and then afterwards you can retire to the comfort of your private bedroom.

  • Day 8 Vancouver

    Breakfast is served on board before arriving into Vancouver, a beautiful harbour side city with a perfect balance of nature mixed with cityscape. Enjoy a sightseeing tour including Stanley Park with its intricately carved totem poles, the waterfront area, Gastown with its lively shops and restaurants and Granville Island which is famous for its fresh food markets. Visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park where you will be amazed by the hundreds of thousands of lights throughout the park with the canyon transformed into a world of festive lights and visual enchantment. Make your way across the spectacular suspension bridge, 70 metres above the Capilano River, and join the award winning Treetops Adventure along a series of elevated walkways.

    Spend the day relaxing or exploring Vancouver. With so many shops, restaurants and attractions near your hotel it will be easy to find something to entertain yourself.

  • Day 10 Vancouver – Whistler

    Journey along the Sea to Sky Highway as the road follows the rugged coastline with magnificent views of Horseshoe Bay on your left and forested parks and mountains on your right. Arrive at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village, a world famous ski resort sitting at the base of two glorious mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. Spend the afternoon as you wish, relax in your hotel and watch the action outside, or try one of Whistlers many activities. Perhaps take the Peak to Peak gondola that travels between the two huge mountains that dominate the village affording magnificent views.

  • Day 11 Christmas Day in Whistler

    Merry Christmas! Welcome to the white Christmas you’ve always dreamed of and Whistler is a magical setting to experience this wonderful day. We’ll partake in our own festivities with a traditional Christmas lunch at one of Whistler’s famous restaurants. Celebrate the Christmas cheer and enjoy a delectable meal with all the trimmings. Afterwards, relax, let the meal go down and enjoy the festivities around Whistler. Spend the evening celebrating how you wish and finish with dreams of your own white Christmas.

  • Day 12 Georgia Strait – Victoria

    Travel back along the Sea to Sky Highway to the ferry terminal where you will board the BC ferry. Cruise through the Georgia Strait that is dotted with forested islands and is home to pods of orcas. Make our way to British Columbia’s historic capital city, Victoria where you will have a brief orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas. The afternoon is yours to spend as you wish.

  • Day 13 Butchart Gardens

    Spend the morning relaxing or taking in the sights of Victoria. This afternoon we make our way to the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Again you will be astounded at the beautiful light show that adorns all the gardens and buildings. The entire garden complex shines and twinkles with a fairytale display. Explore the gardens and learn about the history and flora while gazing in wonder at the dazzling spectacle. Afterwards dine in the original Butchart family residence, savour an exquisite meal while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding gardens.

    Bid farewell to Canada’s winter wonderland and transfer to Victoria International Airport to board your homeward flight.
