20 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Lima, Peru

    Bienvenido! Welcome to Lima, the capital of Peru. This bustling city, known as the “City of the Kings”, is rich in tradition and culture. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening, meet your Tour Director for a tour briefing.

  2. Day 2 - Lima

    The morning is free to relax. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of Lima, a former city of Conquistadors. See one of Lima’s famous ancient pyramids in the middle of the city before heading to the city centre. Walk the famous Jiron de la Union, then visit the main plaza which houses the Presidential & Municipal Palaces. To finish, we enter the sanctuary of the 16th century Santo Domingo Church. You’re Invited: Tonight, take a guided tour of the Larco Museum. Housing one of the best collections of Inca and pre Inca artefacts, this is the perfect pre-cursor to your journey ahead. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional dinner at the museum.

  3. Day 3 - Lima – Sacred Valley

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire set high in the Andes Mountains. As you transfer to the breathtaking Sacred Valley, stop off at Awana Kancha llama farm and textile centre. Gain an insight into the Andean camelids; llama, alpaca, vicuña and guanaco as well as viewing traditional Andean weaving techniques. This afternoon, we head into the colourful town of Pisac with its traditional markets.

  4. Day 4 - Sacred Valley

    Enjoy a walking tour of the town of Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas. Your tour includes a visit to a traditional home to see how the locals live, then see the incredible Incan fortress that overlooks the town. You’re Invited: We will then visit a community which will give you the chance to meet the students and teachers at the local school and learn about their lifestyle.

  5. Day 5 - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

    Transfer to the train station and board the Vistadome train for the journey to Machu Picchu. The highlight of the day is your visit to the ancient Inca site. Mystery still surrounds these well preserved ruins perched in between sheer cliffs and your visit will allow you to understand why they are one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Your expert local guide will share stories and knowledge to reveal some of the mysteries of this “Lost City of the Incas”.

  6. Day 6 - Machu Picchu - Cuzco

    Spend the morning exploring the quaint town of Aguas Calientes or return for a final visit to Machu Picchu (own expense) before re boarding the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo. Return to Cuzco through the Sacred Valley across the patchwork fields of the Chinchero plateau.

  7. Day 7 - Cuzco

    Take a walking tour of the charming city of Cuzco, a World Heritage listed site that was a former capital of the Incas. Visit the Inca temple of Coricancha, head through cobblestone streets and past ancient Inca buildings to Cuzco’s fascinating central market. Explore Inca ruins on the outskirts of the city including the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, and finish with a visit to the beautiful main plaza and its surrounding cathedrals. Tonight, dine at a local restaurant that specialises in nouveau Andean cuisine.

  8. Day 8 - Cuzco

    Today is free to explore fascinating Cuzco.

  9. Day 9 - Cuzco - Lake Titicaca

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puno on the banks of the beautiful Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Enjoy an excursion to the unique floating islands of Uros. These islands are made of the hollow totora reeds allowing them to float. Entire communities are built on these fascinating islands and your guide will introduce you to the unique lifestyle of the Uros.

  10. Day 10 - Puno - Lima

    Soak up the surroundings of Lake Titicaca before transferring to the airport to fly to Lima.

  11. Day 11 - Lima – Buenos Aires, Argentina

    Fly across the breadth of South America to Buenos Aires, Argentina, a country rich in history and culture. Buenos Aires is a sophisticated city with a strong European in?uence. Having enjoyed wealth and opulence once upon a time, it is a wonderful place to discover. Transfer to your downtown hotel.

  12. Day 12 - Buenos Aires

    Get acquainted with this beautiful city known as the “Paris of the Americas”. Visit the central square, Plaza de Mayo surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Presidential Headquarters) and the Cabildo (Colonial Town Hall). We then travel through the charming streets of San Telmo, the home of Tango and down the colourful roads of La Boca. You’re Invited: This evening, enjoy a taste of tradition and culture as we soak up the sultry moves of a tango show accompanied by a sumptuous dinner.

  13. Day 13 - Buenos Aires

    You’re Invited: Drive to an Argentinian ranch or “estancia”. Here you will learn about their famous cowboys or “gauchos”. Explore the ranch, then feast on a traditional “parilla” or BBQ lunch.

  15. Day 15 - Buenos Aires – Iguazú Falls

    Fly to Iguazú Falls. Set in a tropical jungle, the falls spill over towering cliffs to create a thunderous roar.

  16. Day 16 - Iguazú Falls

    Tour the Argentinian side of the falls. Board the ecological train and ride to the “Devil’s Throat” viewpoint, one of the most spectacular views that Iguazú has to offer.

  17. Day 17 - Iguazú Falls – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

    This morning, cross the border into Brazil and tour the majestic Brazilian falls. Make your way through the rainforest and along walkways up close to the base of the falls for outstanding views. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and famous Copacabana Beach. Rio is a city full of life, colour and vibrancy mixed with beautiful tropical coastal scenery and is a delight to visit.

    Tour Rio de Janeiro.
