  1. Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver

    Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Vancouver International Airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.

  2. Day 2 - Vancouver Sightseeing

    You’re Invited: This morning, travel to Grouse Mountain and take the skyride to the top. Head to the habitat of resident grizzlies Grinder and Coola and learn about their lives before partaking in a bear inspired breakfast. Afterwards, visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park where you can make your way across this spectacular suspension bridge, and join the award winning Treetops Adventure along a series of elevated walkways. Continue on a sightseeing tour including Stanley Park with its intricately carved totem poles, Gastown and the waterfront area. Finish with an enthralling visit to the 4D virtual reality experience of FlyOver Canada.

  3. Day 3 - Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops

    Set off on a two day rail experience on “The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World”. Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense) and enjoy incredible views of the surroundings. Enter the Fraser Valley then follow the Thompson River towards Kamloops.

  4. Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer – Jasper

    Continue your journey on board the Rocky Mountaineer into the soaring, rugged snow-capped mountains. Marvel at the beauty of the glaciers, lakes and forest sitting at the foot of these grand mountains and see Canada’s highest peak, the awesome 3954 metre Mount Robson. The day’s end finds us in Jasper National Park, an alpine wonderland of pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife. You’re Invited: Tonight, meet our resident naturalist Don Enright who will accompany you throughout your journey to Victoria. His knowledge will astound, his stories will regale and his passion will inspire you. There is no better way to enhance your journey of this region than to be joined by such a renowned specialist. Enjoy a welcome reception where you’ll get to know Don.

  5. Day 5 - Jasper and surrounds

    Jasper is a relaxed town surrounded by wilderness and wildlife. This morning, we journey to the picturesque Pyramid Lake which is surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains and forest. Known as being a haven for wildlife we have the unique opportunity to take a canoe adventure on the lake. Keep your eye out for osprey, loons, muskrat, and beaver, but aside from this, this is a renowned birding area and there is even the possibility of seeing moose, bear, elk, deer, and wolves! You’re Invited: In the early evening, we drive up to one of the best wildlife spotting places in the region. The road to Maligne Lake follows a valley passing numerous lakes and viewpoints finishing at this gem of the Rockies, the stunning Maligne Lake. Keep your eye out for wildlife as you are taken on a guided walk of the trails around the lake before settling in for dinner with a postcard view.

  6. Day 6 - Icefields Parkway – Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Lake Louise

    Depart Jasper and travel along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most incredible journeys in the world. Make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, North America’s largest sub-polar ice pack where you’ll climb aboard the mighty ‘Ice Explorer’ for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the 300 metre thick Athabasca Glacier. Finish the day at the famous ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, the beautiful Lake Louise where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties. Spend time soaking up the views, relaxing and exploring this iconic lake.

  7. Day 7 - Lake Louise – Banff

    Bid farewell to Lake Louise and make our way to Yoho National Park that houses the spectacular Natural Bridge, which has been carved by the Kicking Horse River, and the glacier fed Emerald Lake so called due to the vibrant colour of its water. Head into the impressive Banff National Park, and on arrival into Banff, enjoy a sightseeing tour including Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. You’re Invited: Ride the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for incredible views across
    the Rockies. Meet a retired Canadian Mountie who will recount exciting and colourful stories of their rich history and traditions. Enjoy the sweeping views while dining on a hearty meal.

  8. Day 8 - Wolfdog Sanctuary

    You’re Invited: Make your way to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. Dedicated to the rescue and safe haven for neglected or displaced wolfdogs, this is a unique and special experience that will get you up close to one of the most regal animals in the Rockies. Your guide will explain the significance of wolves and wolfdogs in the wild as you are taken inside the enclosures for an up close experience with these amazing creatures. Spend the rest of the day enjoying Banff and its many sights.

  9. Day 9 - Banff – South Thompson River

    Depart Banff National Park and pass from Alberta to British Columbia through three spectacular national parks of Yoho, Glacier and Mount Revelstoke. Travel past primeval forests, ice age glaciers, waterfalls and mountain peaks as you depart the Rockies. You’re Invited: Visit Tsútswecw Provincial Park which is known for having one of the largest salmon runs in North America. A Shuswap First Nations guide will join us to share the importance of this land to the original inhabitants. Your cultural interpretive guide will lead you down forested trails sharing teachings about Shuswap traditional landmarks along with different types of plants that are still used today for medicines and food. Late this afternoon, we arrive at our unique ranch style inn located on the shores of the South Thompson River. Enjoy a BBQ dinner and partake in the Canadian campfire tradition of roasting s’mores over the fire pit.

  10. Day 10 - South Thompson River – Whistler

    The road meanders through scenic landscapes beside the Thompson and Fraser Rivers. Pass through the sleepy town of Lillooet to the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village. You’re Invited: Head to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre for an authentic insight into First Nations culture. Be welcomed by song, then take a stroll through the forest to learn about medicinal plants. Finish with an indigenous tea offering sampling traditional tea and bannock learning the healing properties of the tea.

  11. Day 11 - Bear safari

    You’re Invited: Whistler’s mountains are known to support large populations of black bears and is one of the best places to spot these incredible animals. Board our jeeps and travel scenic mountain routes along back country roads in search of black bears. It’s not uncommon to see bears foraging on the side of the trail or grazing on the mountain slopes. If luck is on your side, this could be one of the most memorable days of your tour. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the village of Whistler.

  12. Day 12 - Georgia Strait – Victoria

    Travel along the Sea to Sky Highway following the rugged coastline stopping at the awesome Shannon Falls. Board the BC ferry and cruise through the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island before arriving into Victoria, British Columbia’s capital city.

  13. Day 13 - Victoria – Butchart Gardens

    You’re Invited: This morning, our last dedicated wildlife viewing activity is a whale watching and marine life spotting tour. The waterways in this region are known for supporting numerous pods of orcas, humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions, otters and an array of bird life. Jump on board and head into the Haro Strait and Georgia Strait. The most commonly seen whales include orcas and humpbacks, however minkes and gray whales are sometimes seen too. This is Don’s backyard and his final farewell will be to leave you with an astounding knowledge and respect for the immense natural beauty of this region. In the afternoon, visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring the gardens. You’re Invited: Tonight’s farewell dinner will be in the Butchart family’s former residence or greenhouse. Savour an exquisite meal while enjoying views of the surrounding gardens and sharing stories with new found friends.

  14. Day 14 - Depart Victoria
