25 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Lima, Peru

    Bienvenido! Welcome to Lima, the capital of Peru. This bustling city, known as the “City of the Kings”, is rich in tradition and culture. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening, meet your Tour Director for a tour briefing.
    Overnight Stay: Lima

  2. Day 2 - Lima – Sacred Valley

    Fly to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital set high in the Andes Mountains. Drive to the Sacred Valley, stopping off at Awanacancha and llama farm and textile centre. Head to the colourful town of Pisac with its traditional markets, then continue along the Sacred Valley.
    Three Night Stay: Sacred Valley

  3. Day 3 - Sacred Valley

    Enjoy a walking tour of the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo. You’re Invited: Visit a community for the chance to meet the students and teachers at the local school and learn about their lifestyle.

  4. Day 4 - Sacred Valley – Maras & Moray

    Valleys to the spectacular agricultural terraces at Moray. Built by the Incas in natural sinkholes, their function other than agricultural, remains a mystery. Nearby, under the colonial town of Maras are salt mines that have been built into old terraces and lagoons. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Pachamanca meal, a typical Andean feast.

  5. Day 5 - Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu

    Board the Vistadome train for the journey to Machu Picchu. Mystery still surrounds these well preserved ruins which are one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Your expert local guide will share stories and knowledge to reveal some of the mysteries of this “Lost City of the Incas”.

  6. Day 6 - Machu Picchu

    Return to Machu Picchu to fully appreciate the enormity of these spectacular ruins and explore some of the places not seen in yesterday’s visit. Spend the afternoon relaxing or wandering the quaint town of Aguas Calientes.

  7. Day 7 - Machu Picchu – Cuzco

    Board the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo. Return by coach to Cuzco.

  8. Day 8 - Cuzco

    Take a walking tour of Cuzco, the former capital of the Incas. Visit the Inca temple of Coricancha, then head to Cuzco’s fascinating central market. Explore Inca ruins including the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, and finish with a visit to the main plaza and its surrounding cathedrals. Tonight, dine at a local restaurant.

  9. Day 9 - Cuzco

    Today is free to explore Cuzco.

  10. Day 10 - Cuzco – Puno

    Make your way to Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Along the way, visit the charming highland village of Andahuaylillas before arriving in Puno on the banks of beautiful Lake Titicaca.

  11. Day 11 - Lake Titicaca

    Today, enjoy an excursion to the unique floating islands of Uros. These islands are made of the hollow totora reeds which allow them to float. Entire communities are built on these fascinating islands and your guide will introduce you to the unique lifestyle of the Uros.

  12. Day 12 - Puno – Colca Canyon

    Journey through the highlands of Peru to Colca Canyon, a mesmerising canyon that competes for the title of deepest in the world. Arrive at your hotel located on the banks of the Colca River where you can enjoy a soak in the natural hot springs or get to know the local alpacas.

  13. Day 13 - Colca Canyon

    Travel along the dramatic Colca Valley to Cruz del Condor. This is a spectacular viewpoint allowing you to appreciate the full extent of the canyons depth and is also the perfect point for viewing the majestic condor, whose wingspan is the largest of any bird in the world. Visit small towns, churches and viewpoints, as you return along the Colca Valley for a relaxing evening.

  14. Day 14 - Colca Canyon - Arequipa

    Pass volcanic mountains and skirt mountain passes on the way to Arequipa. This afternoon you will explore Arequipa visiting the Plaza de Armas with its white stone colonial architecture including the Basilica Cathedral of Arequipa. Stroll through the grounds of Santa Catalina Monastery and finish at the Andean Museum, which houses the famous mummy “Juanita”.

  15. Day 15 - Arequipa – Buenos Aires, Argentina

    Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina, a beautiful country with strong European influence.

  16. Day 16 - Buenos Aires

    Get acquainted with this beautiful city visiting the central square, Plaza de Mayo. Drop in to a traditional café before travelling through the streets of San Telmo and down the colourful roads of La Boca. Finish at Recoleta Cemetery, an amazing above ground cemetery. You’re Invited: This evening, soak up the sultry moves of a tango show accompanied by a sumptuous dinner.

  17. Day 17 - Buenos Aires

    Explore Buenos Aires at your own pace.

  18. Day 18 - Buenos Aires – Ranch visit

    You’re Invited: Drive to the beautiful countryside outside of Buenos Aires to a magnificent Argentinian ranch or “estancia”. Here you will get under the skin of Argentinian life and learn about the famous cowboys or “gauchos”. Relax, explore the ranch, take a horseback or wagon ride and feast on a traditional “parilla” or BBQ lunch. In the afternoon, we end up in our luxurious countryside resort.   19. Day 19 - Buenos Aires – Iguazú Falls

    Fly to the World Heritage listed Iguazú Falls. Set in a tropical jungle, an enormous river spills over towering cliffs creating a thunderous roar.

  20. Day 20 - Iguazú Falls

    Today, tour the majestic Brazilian falls. Make your way through the rainforest and along walkways up close to the base of the falls for outstanding views. This afternoon, take an exciting Macuco boat adventure that gets you on the river and up close to the falls.

  21. Day 21 - Iguazú Falls

    Tour the Argentinian side of the falls. Board the ecological train and ride to the “Devil’s Throat” viewpoint. Feel the spray of the water and gaze in awe at one of the most spectacular views Iguazú has to offer.

  22. Day 22 - Iguazú Falls – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and famous Copacabana Beach. Rio is a city full of life, colour and vibrancy mixed with beautiful tropical coastal scenery.

  23. Day 23 - Rio de Janeiro

    Today, we tour Rio de Janeiro. Ride the cogwheel railway up Corcovado Mountain to the famous “Christ the Redeemer” statue, then take the cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain for amazing views of the city. You’re Invited: Have some fun with a visit to the Sambadrome, the site of Rio Carnival and try on some colourful carnival costumes.

  24. Day 24 - Rio de Janeiro

    Today is free for you to explore Rio at your own pace. This evening, feast like a local and get your last taste of South America with a typical Brazilian Churrascaria.

  25. Day 25 - Depart Rio de Janeiro

    Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Chau!
