22 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver

    Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Vancouver International Airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.

  2. Day 2 - Vancouver Sightseeing

    You’re Invited: Start the morning with a unique breakfast at the Vancouver Aquarium, where there is an opportunity to view a variety of marine life from all over the planet. Later, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including Stanley Park with its intricately carved totem poles, the waterfront area, and historic Gastown with its lively shops and restaurants. Visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, where you can make your way across this spectacular suspension bridge, 70 metres above the Capilano River. Take in the surrounding forest and join the award winning Treetops Adventure along a series of elevated walkways.

  3. Day 3 - Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops

    Set off on a two day rail experience on “The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World”. Settle back in your GoldLeaf carriage as you enter the Fraser Valley then follow the Thompson River towards Kamloops.

  4. Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer – Banff

    Continue your journey into the soaring, rugged snow-capped mountains.  Marvel at the beauty of the glaciers, lakes and forest sitting at the foot of these grand mountains.  Arrive in Banff a picturesque town located within Banff National Park and is the quintessential Rocky Mountains town.  Spend the next two nights at the “Castle in the Rockies” one of the most iconic and impressive hotels in Canada.

  5. Day 5 - Banff

    Today enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls, then take the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain where you will witness inspiring views over the surrounding peaks and valleys.

  6. Day 6 - Banff - Lake Louise

    Bid farewell to Banff and make your way to the beautiful Lake Louise and the famous ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties.

  7. Day 7 - Lake Louise at Leisure

    Lake Louise enjoys picture perfect surroundings. Spend the day exploring the lake and soaking up the spectacular scenery. Take a walk around the edge of the lake or simply sit back, relax and take it all in.

  8. Day 8 - Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Jasper

    This morning, we travel north along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery as you pass rugged peaks and glaciers fringed by thick forest and shimmering lakes. We make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, North America’s largest sub-polar ice pack, where you’ll climb aboard the ‘Ice Explorer’ for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the mighty 300 metre thick Athabasca Glacier. The day’s end finds us in Jasper National Park, an alpine wonderland of pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife.

  9. Day 9 - Jasper

    Today, you have the opportunity to explore Jasper and its surrounds. You’re Invited: This evening, walk above the Rockies deepest canyon; Maligne Canyon, then dine at Wilderness Kitchen an original Canadian smokehouse located at the canyon trailhead.

  10. Day 10 - Jasper – Okanagan – Kelowna

    Depart Jasper and head past the awesome, 3,954 metre Mt. Robson. Continue through the Cariboo Mountains region and into the lush Okanagan Valley to Kelowna. Visit one of Kelowna’s award-winning wineries and sample some of the local wines.

  11. Day 11 - Kelowna – Whistler

    Travel through scenic landscapes as the road meanders alongside the Nicola River and through sandstone chasms. Follow the Thompson and Fraser River past the town of Lillooet to the charming alpine resort of Whistler. You’re Invited: Head to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre for an authentic First Nations BBQ where you will learn about the history and culture of the native Canadians.

  12. Day 12 - Whistler at Leisure

    Today is at leisure for you to explore the resort village of Whistler.

  13. Day 13 - Georgia Strait – Victoria

    Travel along the Sea to Sky Highway following the rugged coastline stopping at the awesome Shannon Falls. Board the BC ferry and cruise through the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island. Afternoon arrival into Victoria, British Columbia’s capital.

  14. Day 14 - Victoria Sightseeing – Butchart Gardens

    This morning, visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring the gardens. Afterwards, enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas.

  15. Day 15 - Seattle – 7 Night Alaskan Cruise

    Transfer on the Victoria Clipper to Seattle. Board your luxurious cruise ship and check into your comfortable ocean view stateroom (upgrade to verandah stateroom additional expense) on the Holland America Cruise Ship ms Eurodam and settle-in for an unforgettable 7 night voyage through the famed Alaskan waterways.

    Relax as you cruise one of the world’s most spectacular waterways. Take advantage of the ship’s many outstanding facilities, or simply relax on deck and watch unmatched scenery glide by.

  17. Day 17 - Stephens Passage – Juneau

    Sail picturesque Stephens Passage known for its wildlife and dramatic beauty before arriving into Juneau. Perched on a thin strip of land at the mouth of Gold Creek, Juneau is arguably one of America’s most beautiful state capitals, with the looming summits of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts providing a gorgeous backdrop.

  18. Day 18 - Hubbard Glacier

    Enter the narrow inlet of Deception Bay and sail up to the impressive Hubbard Glacier. Known for its sheer size and high levels of activity, it’s not uncommon to see a large piece of ice calve from the face of this gnarled glacier and land with a thunderous boom in the bay. Wildlife is prolific in this area and chunks of ice that break off become floating islands for seals who like the icebergs, because orca sonar doesn’t work well among them.

  19. Day 19 - Sitka

    In and around Sitka, you’ll witness a unique slice of Alaskan history not found anywhere else. Russia controlled Alaska from the mid-1700s until the United States purchased it in 1867. You’ll still see vestiges of Russia’s influence, including the unmistakable onion dome of St. Michael’s Cathedral and the Russian Bishop’s House, both National Historic Landmarks.

  20. Day 20 - Ketchikan

    Welcome to the salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside and part is built on pilings over the water, where bald eagles watch from waterside perches. Rich native history and an outstanding collection of totem poles makes the town an essential stop for anyone interested in native art.

  21. Day 21 - The Inside Passage – Victoria

    Today is a day of relaxation. Take advantage of the ship’s facilities, or relax on deck and
    keep an eye out for wildlife as you travel south through the Inside Passage. Pull into the capital of British Columbia, Victoria. Reflecting the charm of Britain, Victoria is an easy city to walk. Explore the inner harbour or venture further afield on one of the shore excursions (additional expense).

  22. Day 22 - Depart Seattle

    This morning, arrive back into Seattle. Disembark and transfer to Seattle Airport to board your homeward flight (book flight after 2pm), or consider taking in more of Seattle with some post tour accommodation (please enquire for details ).
