Sibiu is a multicultural city, where Romanian, Saxon, Hungarian and Roma minorities are living together peacefully throughout centuries, in a city which managed to transform its diversity into a brand. After being European Capital of Culture in 2007, Sibiu stepped up on the international culinary stage, as a holder in 2019 of the title "European Region of Gastronomy".
